audiojelly vs beatport?

i have noticed that audiojelly is very weighted towards trance releases. its chart usually shows trance tracks right down the list.

beatport appears to be mainly popular for electro/techno. its chart seams to rarely show trance releases.

so im wondering. those who buy from digital download stores. what download store (out of them all) would you go to first when searchin for a trance release?

There's only a few tracks that audiojelly has and beatport doesn't. If you know what you're looking for, you don't need those top 10 charts to begin with. I usually start with beatport, if they dont have what I want I try trackitdown, and if they don't have it either I try audiojelly.

yeah I start with beatport because it cost less, if it's not available i'll give a try at audiojelly

djdownload.com is good too, thats usually my second stop after beatport.

i don't play trance, but i would lean toward beatport for that. beatport has most tracks that all the other sites have, you just have to know where to look.

the one catch is beatport has so many releases that you have to dig through tons of shit tracks to find something good.

thats ok though because i like the setup and the speed of beatport.

usually bought from Beatport first, then looked for a track in Audiojelly, then DJDownload, Anjunabeats and so on. There are a few gems I could only find in DJDownload, for instance Ernesto&Bastian - Lonely People

beatport, traxsourcetrackitdown, djdownload, vonyc. audiojelly is the last place I try to find a track.

idk i mean audiojelly is pretty cool, but doesnt have too many exclusives...atleast more than beatport though. I find that these days I buy most of my music directly from the labels or obscure digital dance record stores. like others have mentioned, you have to dig too much through garbage on the comercial sites such as AJ, BP, etc.

i use beatport... if i cant find it, ill download it in dc++

I have only used beatport so far, and i'm quite pleased with their track selection. They have loads of everything, so there's tons to choose from. Although it does take a lot of time to find those little diamonds among all the thrash that's on there too. I hate it even more that after browsing beatport for an hour or so, you find that one track that sounds brilliant, and it has those shitty territory restrictions Has happened a couple of times to me now, and it made me want to smash my keyboard in my monitor

Really don't care for Audiojelly all that much, just don't like their interface at all.

Beatport is still the shop I use first and foremost, then I actually probably use Juno the second most. Have found some odd things on there.

i always check beatport first. if they don't have what i want, then i check trackitdown, djdownload, audiojelly and after that any place that might sell what i want legally.
altho before i purchase anything from beatport these days i check if resonantvibes has it. if they do, i'll buy it from there as it's much cheaper for me there.

is pretty good for finding where you could download stuff if you know the label it's released on and the label site doesn't have any info on where to get it.
