Confused messed up MIDI

ok this is really bugging me now. i was messing around with fl studio, coming up with some ideas. i saved something then i opened a new project and now my midi signal is 2 notes down from what it should be? (eg - when i press C it plays A#)

as far as im aware i havn't changed any settings or anything and ive looked over them to check and they all seem fine.

so has anyone come across this before? am i missing something completely obvious here?

btw - im using a axiom-61

This happens when you record (i.e. recorded notes are 2 semitones below what you played), or just when you monitor/play thru?

both visible in piano roll when playing live and when recorded.

I know sounds dumb, but make sure you haven't activated any transpose function within FL.(I don;t know FL that well so can't tell you if it even has that function)

Also try opening a new project again and see if it does it in that one as well. If not, then it could just be a glitch.

Might be worth checking theres no transpose function on the keyboard itself that he's accidentally turned on as well...

A quick look at the hopelessly low-res Axiom photos shows that the keyboard itself does in fact have a transpose control. My guess is that you've pressed it.

yeah, that was what it was. after a check in cubase it seemed it was the midi being sent to the computer. so i checked the axiom manual, its far too easy to change the transpose accidently. baffled me there for a min. you gotta love dumb school boy errors like this.

cheers for your help guys!

Hey, just remember: after you've renistalled your software (not to mention OS), trawled the web for several days, posted questions on various forums then finally taken the kit back to the shop and brought the manager's parentage in to question, then and only then should you consider reading the manual.
