Any DNS-3500 owners, here? I'm in a pinch.

I bought a Denon DNS-3500 on Ebay without doing a lot of research into it, first. It was a good price and it was factory sealed... or at least I thought it was. It turns out that the seller went in and removed the serial numbers. I've reported him to Ebay and Denon as I'm assuming that this thing was stolen or something.

As a result of the missing serials, the warranty is useless and I can't get much in the way of support from Denon. (Their support isn't the greatest in the first place.) While not having a warranty isn't the worst thing in the world, there is one particularly annoying bit.

I want to upgrade this thing to the latest firmware, which I'm told is SYS v99. I can't do that without registering the product first. I can't register, obviously, because I don't have the serial number for the goddamn deck.

SO... can ANYONE here who owns the 3500 and would be willing to email me the SYS v99 firmware update in a ZIP or something please PM me? I would not only be eternally thankful... I'd also be willing to pitch you a few bucks on PayPal if you want.

I sincerely appreciate any help that anyone can provide. I'm sort of up shit creek without the update. The cue slippage is annoying.

there's a similar topic on the denon dj forums. i remember reading it there. also i think there was some talk about somehow getting the update without registering, can't really remember.
anyway you should have known that you won't get the manufacturer's warranty if you buy it on ebay. also even though the serial number has been removed they're not apparently stolen.
this is all stuff i've read in places (mostly the denon dj forums) and i don't have any experience on it myself as i never got the dn-s3500's myself because they didn't offer what i wanted.

I'm not really concerned about the warranty, like I said.

There is NO reason that someone needed to remove the serial number, however, unless they were stolen. Same as filing the serial off of a stolen gun. It's a shady practice.
