Surfing

Going in one week, out to Dana Point and Laguna Beach. Going to be a blaaaaaaaaaaaast. Fuckin', ya.

Any other surfers in here?

I used to pretty regularly, but not for ages now. Last time I surfed was back in 2001 at Jeffrey's Bay in South Africa, which was fucking awesome.

South Africa would be great! I've only surfed around San Clemente / D.P. / Laguna Beach. All have their good spots if you catch the weeks w/ large swells.

Well who DOESN'T check the location beforehand? or read up on it? Pretty smart choice I'd say to do so. Regardless if I have done it before or not

I used to live in Huntington Beach. I surfed all the time! Laguna is meh, it's really only good when there's a big swell and you hit The Wedge

hehe, you didn't get bitten or eaten at least... sharks like that bit of water as well.
Still that bit of coastline is one of the better bits of SA.

The wedge is bomb. Stay away from Huntington/Newport this week though. They had a sewage leek. I was going to skip out on work to surf tomorrow morning. Friday n' Saturday are supposed to have decent swell (4ft). =)

ahh yes, i used to go surfing at hermosa beach, huntington beach is also pretty cool, now since i live in florida there arent that many good surf spots, but my local beach is fine for a long board.
