Looks like Cristian Paduraru and Robbie Rivera have some competition!

juicy release.. lol

Posted by meDina on Jun-22-2007 17:13:

how about 2 different releases of "carry me away" with the same remixes... on the main page feature releases twice in the past month lol

Posted by RJT on Jun-22-2007 17:15:

I have to agree - I can't believe how often I see the same tunes listed as "New Releases."

Completely fucks me off.

I'm finding it increasingly frustrating trying to find tunes on beatport.

The amount of shit on there every week is incredible.

Me too. Im only a passer-by so to speak too (a music 'appreciator' rather than a DJ/producer/someone who knows what they are looking for) so its really tough to find new things as I have to trawl through so much.

The charts they list mean nothing to me also, as only by going into the list do you find out what type is in them.

I found some great tunes by total accident on there, who knows what great things im missing out on buying.

The toughest one on beatport is probably progressive house. You have to go through 50 shit tracks that sound like they were slapped toghether on fruity loops in 10 minutes in order to find one decent track. It's hard to believe that anyone actually buys some of the stuff that's on there, especially if it's priced at $2.49

over 4000 tracks a week..

they need to do a little more quality control..

vinyl still remains the best way of doing quality control

Do what Clovis does everyday. Click the 'new release button' at the home page and just start going backward

Posted by stevieboy32808 on Jun-24-2007 01:39:

I click 'View All' and start from the past to present. I use to look at subgenres but they're so horribly mislabeled that I just look at the general genre as a whole. The Chillout section is probably the worst. I have gathered only a handful of tunes out of the whole genre.

lol.. beatport

Yeah, you really gotta look before you buy. I fell for the re release once.

You mean you bought the same track twice?

No, I mean I bought a track for 1.99 when it had been released a few months earlier and was down to 1.49.

Beatport needs to update their back catalog.

Freefall - Skydive isn't even available, neither is Jakatta feat. Seal - My Vision.

Some serious holes; those are just small examples.

Oh, well 50 cents is not so bad. But it would be pretty funny if someone bought the same track twice
