Ferry Corsten At Trance Energy 2000

Man what a great set that was... Just listened to this for the first time in literally 5 years. Still gets me pumped! Love the way he kicks off with Impact - Inspiration and after a pumping set ends with The Aquanuts - Deep Sea (Ab & Luis Mix), which to the best of my knowledge is still unreleased. If anyone has any info on that Ab & Luis Mix of "Deep Sea" please share!

What are your guys thoughts on this set?

Ferry Corsten - Live @ Trance Energy 2000 (04-29-2000)
01. Impact - Inspiration (Behind The Mirror)
02. Ron Hagen & Pascal M - On Stream (Original Mix)
03. Alibi - Eternity (Innercity Mix)
04. Blank & Jones - The Nightfly (Transa Remix)
05. Moogwai - Voila (Original Mix)
06. Chicane feat. Bryan Adams - Don't Give Up (Tomski vs. Disco Citizens Instrumental Mix)
07. Body Shock - Full Moon (Original Mix)
08. System F - Cry (DotNL Mix)
09. Luis Paris - Incantation (Original Mix)
10. Push - Till We Meet Again (Album Mix)
11. Deepsky - Stargazer (X-Cabs Remix)
12. Clubmasterz - Cyberdrive (Syntone Airforce 1 Remix)

14. The Aquanuts - Deep Sea (Ab & Luis Mix)

It's a good set, but Chicane - Don't Give Up totally ruins it for me.

I agree with Rob. While a great tune, the actual placing of it between Viola & Full Moon seemed weird, mainly cos of the actual energy of the set and chicane was so pitched up because of it

true, but i like that remix... i think it works... it's a bit of a "rest" for those dancing i bet, hehe.

but man is that set pitched up. still love it though. a nice 90 min of trance.

Yup, exactly - it just doesn't work.

Beyond that, I really don't care all that much for "Don't Give Up" as a friend of mine that I used to spin records with every day of the week would play it every day of the week, so personal preference indeed has a lot to do with it for me.

Always loved this set. I finally got this live set in my collection last year from Uncle Montana.

Must have been one hell of an event, because the Tiesto Energy 2000 set is probably my favorite Tiesto set as well.

Yeah god i remember i heard the first part of the set on the radio back then, James Holden - Horizon, Cass & Slide - Perception, Sister Bliss - Sister Sister. I was blown away, it was magic. I didn't know the title of Perception so me and a friend of mine called it "the delay tune".

that one is my favourite Ferry set of all time. It's so full of energy which I have never seen in any other Ferry set. Not even from that time (Hyperstate is close though).
The highlights are FUll Moon and Stargazer.
