Worth producing this?

just fiddling with a riff. I usually lean more to soundscape/house/filmatic music, but wanted to see what everyone thought of this trance riff i made up. I used to love trance, but i'm thinking the sound in this sample may sound way to dated, been there done that sort of thing. I'm curious as to if people still listen to this kind of 'sound' anymore

The melody is very nice but the pattern and synth does sound dated, yes. Don't throw it away, keep working on it.

thanks for the comment, i think i agree with you that the melody is nice, just needs a fresher synth/pattern to bring it up to date!
