TranceAddict Investors Club @ Marketocracy

Registering at Marketocracy, you manage your own mutual fund. Once you register, join the TrancEaddict Investors Club.

Don't know what a mutual fund is? For those who don't, a mutual fund is simply a group of stocks. Like a basket of eggs, but obviously filled with stocks.

In marketocracy, you get to run your own mutual fund. You get to buy and sell most stocks, and you are also ranked relative to several benchmarks. You must follow all the rules real-life mutual fund managers must follow. See if you can beat me!!

My dad & i invested in Platinum, Palladium & Rhodium back in 2001. We lost a bit on the palladium but Platinum & Rhodium has skyrocketed.

It's purely stocks. You get 1,000,000$ to buy whatever stocks you want. You'll always be ranked against me, the market, any other club members, and the Marketocracy m100 index. It's a pretty good test of whether you yourself are capable of investing for profit, or if you need to get an advisor because you fail.

i sumbitted an application....looks fun....ill start trading seriously soon...however it has been known that monkeys are better investors than humans...haha...

The majority of mine (35.88%) is in energy.

BJS, TGA, SM, sold ESV for profit, sold BHI for profit.

Bought Google(GOOG) at $470, and has since gained 11% to $525. I've heard some analysts saying it should reach $600. My own valuations put Google at $517, so I should sell. But Google is in a perpetual up-trend, and the company is so good, AN IDIOT CAN RUN IT!!

I don't know if I should ever sell Google because this company is just that good. Fundamentals are EXCELLENT. The only thing to worry about with Google is when the right time to buy is.

I took a max stake in Ebay for the same reasons. But I think Ebay is a safer bet because its popularity turns it into a kind of perpetual motion machine.

I'd argue which search engine is #1 can change much more easily (i.e. Google wasn't on the map when Yahoo was King), but it certainly doesn't have any competition at the moment.

I seem to have some of my money trapped in limbo... I have $500,000 cash, and available cash $37,000.

Any idea how to access it?
