judge doesn't know what a website is

A judge has stunned a court by admitting he does not know what a website is.

Judge Peter Openshaw, 59, brought an Internet terror trial to a halt when he admitted he struggled to cope with basic terms like "website".

He told stunned prosecutors at Woolwich Crown Court in south east London: "The trouble is I don't understand the language. I don't really understand what a website is."

The Judge is hearing a trial of three men charged under anti-terrorism laws.

Prosecutor Mark Ellison was forced to set aside his questioning to explain the terms "website" and "forum".

The Judge admitted: "I haven't quite grasped the concepts."

wow, you literally have to be living under a rock to not know what a website is.

even if you don't own a computer, the term is used all over the place - on tv, newspapers, bus ads, flyers, business cards, t-shirts, etc. etc.

I wonder if you would have to explain to the judge the term "Typo" aswell...
