Looking for something to do next Saturday?

For those of you on the Northside looking for something to do on Saturday the 30th, come watch the sunset and hear some good House music at Jittery Joe's coffee in Buford. They have a big, covered patio upon which I'll be spinning, as well as a great view, and coffee that beats the shit out of Starbucks. Eric, the owner, is a member of the Atlanta EDM scene, so come give him some support! We're hoping to make this a regular event during the weekends so that people have the chance to hear some good EDM outside of, or on their way into, the city.

The music will start at 8pm and continue for at least several hours (they close at midnight). Did I mention it's free? Can't beat that.

Jittery Joe's is on the corner of route 20 and Satellite Blvd, directly off of 985. If you're coming from the south, just go up 85 and stay in the left lane to get onto 985 at the split, then take the first exit (exit 4), and make a left.

I hope I'll see you all there.

That sounds pretty cool and different. Too bad it's all the way up 985. Let me know how it goes.

Eh, I wouldn't consider the first exit to be "all the way up." It's not actually that far, maybe 15 minutes from Duluth/Pleasant Hill area, if that. And even less from Lawrenceville.

Yeah, I should have worded that better. It's right at the start of 985, but that's still far for me living in midtown and all.

Not to hijack, but to make the drive easier you can tune in to 91.1 on the way there and back! Greg Mcleod will be spinning this weekend.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I'll be there once I get moved in at the apartment next week.

nrjizer: Do you have an address/website for the place so I MapQuest the driving directions? I'm new to the area and don't want to get lost...

Do they need anyone else to spin? I play Deep and Funky House

4050 Buford Dr.
Buford, Ga. 30518

You don't even really need that, though. It's super fucking easy. It's directly off of exit 4 on 985.

Bring a demo CD and talk to the owner.

Thanks! According to Yahoo Maps, I'll be taking US-19N from Alpharetta to Buford Dr.

I'll def bring a mix for the owner. In the meantime I need to update the mix on my MySpace...

I'll be down in GA...starting tommorrow (I'm so excited)! For the 14th I have a gig in NC, but the 7th and 21st are good for me. Who knows: Maybe the TAs from this thread can help you out also.

What kind of setup is at Jittery Joe's? Tech 12s, CDJs, or something else (8-track )? I can bring my CDJ-200s, but my mixer isn't that great...
