lol group A.

Did Venezuela get seeded top to draw that group or something? I guess they want the hosts to make it out of the group stages

Group C looks most competitive...

I thought this said "cops america thread '07"

I thought maybe they had arranged an american gladiators eliminator ahead of time that the criminals & cops would have to go through for the chase. That would have been cool.

no, no, no. like, the cops are about to raid a place, but first they put some ramps & balance beams & nets & ziplines & hurdles in front of the house, with the biggest guys in the force at the end. SWAT enters house, chases criminals through the course.

b looks like a tough group as well.

Argentina to win it all

Posted by sr126 on Jun-26-2007 06:30:

argentina all the way!

Argentina are bringing the big boys... they should cruise...

USA is bringing their B-squad... but DEMPSEY will be there, so I'm not giving up total hope... yet

perhaps, but they'd have a better chance to get out of the first round...

i'm americano here... i know USA isn't winning it... we all know our expectations... and for the B-squad... getting out of the groups stages will be a success!

but I do think if the Gold Cup team came down... they'd put up a fight and go far...

That's what I thought about Brazil last year..

Posted by Yohan on Jun-26-2007 20:47:

I wish US was in group stages with Venezuela.

Imagine the comedy... (remember Iran vs US in WC94?)

Well, I suppose this can still happen in the playoffs...

Argentina ftw !!!

Posted by UnBracKo on Jun-27-2007 02:56:

Argentina has always had good players but remember last World Cup...

1/8 finals: they almost loose against Mexico

1/4 finals: tchss! Germany wins!

That's a ridiculous good squad. I hope Argentina wins this competition, they deserved better luck in the world cup.

Last night's games were quite entertaining, lots of attacking football even though Venezuela and Bolivia are shit teams, lol.

finally they won 2 - 0

Posted by sr126 on Jun-28-2007 06:01:

wow, 2 upsets so far... i'm shocked that mexico won...

tomorrow is gonna hurt, big time. i'm going w/my dad to an argentinean restuarant to watch the game.

i want to see argentina win, but i don't want to see USA loose either, and vice versa... i'm upset that they are in the same group.

but seeing argentina go home w/anything less than the title, will probably hurt more than seeing the U.S. get trashed. but the farther the U.S. goes, the happier i will be.

here in U.S. there's no pressure, 'cause no one cares about soccer...

in argentina, if you don't come out in first place... then you're a total failure. of course, this is what drives us. to be number one, and on top... because that's where we belong. it's our birth right. this mentality doesn't just apply to soccer either...

page updated..

mexico played like they should've played all along, granted it was against the b squad man, ochoa(GK) had a brilliant game!

argentina shouldnt worry about anything! they're going to cruise all the way to the final
