DJM-800 vs Xone:92 vs Xone:3D

What is all of your opinions??

shit 'n piss

..............OK. I'll give you the standard answer you'll end up getting with a question like that anyway:

Depends on what you want to use it for and how much you want to spend.

I got the Xone:92 and I love it. I tried the DJM800, not a bad mixer but I prefer the Xone. My guess is that you have to try them. Also, the Xone doesn't have all the effects that the DJM has. Like echo, pan, etc. But, the Xone has very good filters which create effects (such as flanger).

Try them, feel them. I prefer the "touch" of the Xone compared to the DJM.

different ppl with different needs..

go try both out and see what fits u best, what has the feel that you are looking for..

the debate has been argued to death since forever...feel free to use the SEARCH tool. like others have mentioned both have their pros and cons.

Posted by skip on Jun-26-2007 17:31:

for me the only option out of those would be xone:92. altho i haven't used any of the three!

Posted by chesco on Jun-26-2007 17:58:

I tried the djm 800 but didn't like it, xone 92 is what i've got but I use it so much it's really needing a service, a lot of crackling of the channels and filters.

My mate has bought himself a xone 3d but i'm yet to get a shot of it. I'm not really into ableton tho so don't think there is really any point.

I just got my "beef" in the mail yesterday (Xone 3D). This thing is a beast!

I had a xone 62, and sold it and bought a djm800.

I'd swap my djm800 for a xone 92 anyday. There is just something special about allen & heath mixers.

Go the 92

Posted by Ryan0751 on Jun-28-2007 13:09:

You aren't biased at all with that avatar

Hehe, I like the Xone's too. The build quality and solidness just isn't the same on the Pio's, though the 800/1000 is much better than their previous mixers.

yeah i had a djm 600 before the xone 62.

The filters and the build quality are where the xone excels. The pioneers just don't come close.

Posted by RJT on Jun-28-2007 13:27:

In the last two weeks I've playd out on an 800 and a 92 on seperate nights, almost one after the other, and I think I've decided that I still like the 92 better. As has been said before, the filters and build really just make me feel great everytime I play on one, and the only downside are the absolutely wretched upfaders on it - I don't know why they chose to cheap on those. If you get a 92, get a rotary.

I really, really do like the 800 though. The EFX are rock solid and easy to use, the build quality is better than I've seen from Pioneer before, and I wish I could learn how to use the sound-coloring effects, because I think that could be pretty neat as well.

i ordered the 92 Rotary on monday, it should be here today!!

cant wait to get it set up

Posted by Ryan0751 on Jun-28-2007 13:31:

I don't think the upfaders on the Xone's are bad at all!

I had (still have actually) the 92 rotary, just got the 3D. Would've preferred the rotaries, but really the upfaders are pretty damn nice.

They seem to be good enough for PVD and Digweed, so we shouldn't be complaining

It's only the faders on the 92 that are shit, and I call them so solely because of how fucking loose they are. Honestly, they feel incredibly cheap compared to the rest of the mixer.

A&H should have used the same faders they did on the 62 on the 92.

And you should know by now that the "they're good enough for (big dj name here)" argument is a load of bollocks - look how many of those ******s still use the MDRV700's
