will this help curb phase shifting? i'm looking for something that might restore balance and clarity to my mixdowns that the BBE product has been shown to do. i'll do some more research on the waves product, thanks!

Wave Maximizers != BBE ones..

Waves are limiters, BBE is a wierd psycho accousit process with frequency splitting and delay of mid to highs, lows to mid, and some funky EQ / Compression on the lows..

Totally different tools. I have real BBE & SPLs, for the mac not sure what's closest though..

ahh, thanks for your input that's what I figured, all the wave reviews look like their talking about limiters and compression. I'm looking for something has a simiiar sound to the BBE which compensates for phase shift by adjusting the lows and highs. You said you have the BBE tools (im assuming including the sonic maximizer?) for mac...do you have an intel mac?. I've eemailed BBE sounds but they have yet to respond about that.

The harmonic exciter in Ozone is pretty sweet.

Sorry, I mean I have the hardware units.

the VSTi under windows is pretty close though.

Sound on Sound Said there was an OSX version, but I've never used it, and I'm pretty sure it's not Intel happy..

I have most of the PSP gear including the vintage warmer vst, which is not what I'm looking for.

I've searched for something that does the same thing but with my light research I have found nothing. I look forward to seeing what this thread brings about!
