Wippenberg; whatcha think?

Well i gota say i think he has an interesting mix of ideas in terms of where he is going with his own sound. I love the sytle and collection and harmony of unique different sounds.

Of all the rest, Promise land stands out to me. You can listen to it here [ http://myspace.com/wippenberg ] DO you like any of his tracks?

it's Wippenberg, not wippenburg

I think his remixes are brilliant. My only criticism would be that way to many sounds are re-used in many of his tracks. They all sound good, but some of them start to sound the same.

Loved their remix of Should Have Known!
Hated their remix of Needs to Feel!

But still nothing has come close to Earth!

their cheese remxies were listenable back in the day, remixes of like atb, blank & jones, tukan etc. Was the kind of cheddar that you could tolerate without wanting to cut yourself

Should Have Known sounds exactly like Needs to Feel

same electro beat out of nowhere... same loop of vocals into the song etc...

I love Wippenbergs stuff. He has his own unique sound and his tracks always work great in the club. He's very innovative and his bassline that he is known for might be one of th best I've ever heard. Definitely pushing the boundries which is great to see...

+1

personally I think he does very well

here's a not so secret secret. he's one half of Aquagen.
neurodancer was immense, (also party alarm which was a rehash of neurodancer). his remix of embrace me is some decent cheese, so was the remix of sunshine and silent heart and light a rainbow.

and the first elements ep was good aswell

I love his stuff and yes Should have known and that other song sounds the same but it's cool!

His remix of "Castles In The Sky" is sweet...by far the best version of that track hehe..well next to the "Perfect Sphere" remix, which is good cause it takes away much of the vocals. Haven't heard much of his productions. His other remixes..as mentioned..are decent.

Apoligies GILLES. You are correct.

I think wippen is pushing the boundaries in generating a more extreme variety of different sounds in a track which seems to stand out.

I know im a fan of promised land.. But seriously, which country did he draw that inspiration from?
