NBC Dateline's "To Catch a Predator"....man commits suicide....

Dont know if you guys see this show across the border but in case you do:


In the TV series on Dateline NBC: "To Catch a Predator," the prep shot himself as the cameras came up to the door.

Whats even worse, is that the City Manager that OK'd datelines filing in the Dallas suburb was fired, and the District Attourney refuses to press charges against the other 24 that were caught on tape.

WTF!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? The guy shoulda shot himself, and just because the guy is an asshole and got caught doesnt mean that they should let shit SLIDE!!!!!!!!!

i can't believe there are people online that sit all day and pose as 12y old children

believe it. They catch like 30 people-ish for every 3-day stints that they film. Its faking disgusting. And that doesnt even count the people who chicken out and dont come.

I remember when I was a teenager (on ICQ!!!! lol) a ridiculous amount of older men tried to lure me to meet them places. man, some of them were fakin OLD dirty assholes!! lol no lie, most of them were from canada!! our countries are full of sick bastards!!

I can't believe something like this took as long as it has. Getting caught on that show SERIOUSLY fucks up your life, and while it doesn't excuse what he did, I totally expected one of the people caught to commit suicide. Or rape the host. One of the two.

you shoudn't be even talking to those people in the first place, how did the conversation get to that point? if i had a teenage daughter i'd definiitely monitor what she was doing online so shit like this would not happen
these nbc people are hurting too, sitting and posing as kids all day to catch and ridicule people for their show, that is ridiculous and i don't agree with what they are doing, if you want to catch someone do it the legal way with a proper investigation, they are not police.

There are many non-pedophiles that would still go and meet these girls if one says "OMG IM SOOOO HORSNY RIGHT NOW PPLEASE COME AND FUCK ME PLEASE I REALLY WANNA SUCK YOUR DICK" that is fucking ridiculous what these people pull, you should read the logs on "perverted-justice.com". Obviously a male thinking this girl wants to do something would go and meet her.

when I first got internet wayy back in the day, I would be with friends talking to random people on ICQ. Most of the dirty old men posts were people messaging something like: 35/m/etc etc.....and then say something very sexual, even if we responded that we were 12!! ew.

Gera, I've only watched a couple of episodes of Dateline, but it's usually the pedos who cross the line into inappropriate convos and suggest a meeting. actually, dateline and the law enforcement working with them were not "allowed" to make the **initial** sexual comments, because the case could be thrown out due to "leading" the person into the conversation.

no, i would not, but as you can see on that show many would.
a pedophile by definition is someone who is exclusively into little children, meaning prepubescent or at the beginning of puberty. Obviously 12 is still a child but 14-15 is already considered a grownup. Some men, when they see these messages think it is ok to go and meet these girls/boys, they in fact don't have to be pedophiles to be attracted to that age group. Also by law in Canada if a person 14+ has consented to a sexual intercourse then it is not considered illegal, as far as i know. I'm definitely not protecting these individuals because it is obviously pathetic and wrong to go someone's house especially underage to have sex with but i think the whole idea of the show is stupid and wrong because they are not law enforcement to deal with these cases, let the police do the work.

i've read various stories on perverted-justice when the actual so called 12y olds persue people on coming over to their place, especially after refusing a few times these people insist for them to come. What they do is sit in chat rooms and message random people, then when they get a response they start persuading a person to show up at their house. Then when they reveal their age most men refuse to talk to them but they keep insisting and talking sexually to them like "OMG PLEASE COME OVER I AM A HOSRNY GIRL, I WILL DO AHNYTHIN" obviously these men like the retards they are continue talking to them.

well law enforcement was involved with every aspect of catching them perps. In the US anyone over 18 can not have sex, even consensual, with a minor (16-18 I think, depending on what state). I dont really care about a 17 year old and a 20 year old, but when a kids says they are 13, and a 55 year old trucker shows up, thats nasty, and I dont care if they get caught by dateline or the kids parents for all I care.

Prime example, I remember a 19 year old military guy who looked like he was 12 show up to a 14 or 15 year olds house. That obviously was not as necessary to exploit as the 45 year old doctor with wife and kids who showed up to a 13 year olds house (the same age as his daughter). ew.

yes in some cases they do catch sick fucks but i still disagree with the shows idea. Not only they ridicule people in front of millions but they also also make commercial profit from all the viewers which is as bad as those guys meeting these kids. In most cases these individuals do not even get any time for these chatlogs, community service and being ridiculed in front of everyone for the rest of your life. It is unnecesarry, there are real pedos out there that actually abuse their own or other children that are still out there, they should focus on those instead of retards in chat rooms.

i clearly state my age on the net and ive had plenty of "13 year old girls" message me. And they dont reveal their age until quite awhile into the chat.
