Thumbs up Film: Event Horizon

Event Horizon: Wikipedia

For everyone thats seen this movie, what are some of your thoughts on it. I just recently seen this flick and i thought it was a bit disturbing, well to an extent. I also found out were alot of voice samples from alot edm tracks come from. lol.

I know its science fiction and all but what is on the other side of a black hole? hell?

Thoughts, Comments?

technically a black hole's supposed to end in a singularity. It's actually fancier than hell.

It's been a while since I saw Event Horizon but i distinctly remember finding the first half of the movie better than the second.

Is it possible for the ISPs to block torrent softwares ? I've noticed I never can get a connection from my home. There are too many seeds, but I don't connect to any. I suspect the ISP somehow blocks this shit ? Not sure.

There has been a couple of ISP's in the UK that have become wise to torrent software use (specifically uTorrent) and blocked some of them, so possibly omega.

Also theorized is a "white hole" where matter is ejected from (fuck here comes the puns).

Also in the case of supermassive black holes, it's theorized that one can start to enter the event horizon (how much I don't know) without getting stretched apart or more commonly known as "spaghettified".

Didn't Orbital do the soundtrack? Not that I particularly noticed the music.

Huh. so im guessing your pretty much screwed if you enter a black hole. Which makes me wonder what is the closes black hole to earth.

What i dont understand about the movie is how the ship is orbiting Neptune?

Posted by nchs09 on Jun-29-2007 19:57:

man, perhaps the last last movie i though "omg this is fucking scary"

i remember event horizon came out @ the same time as the one with dustin hoffman where they go under the sea with samuel l jackson

both those movies creeped me out

but they were top quality!
