school beating
Ok, so im wathcing cnn right now and apparently 6 kids are charged with possible murder. A fight erupted between a white student and 6 black students and apparently if they werent stopped they would have killed him and he was extremely injured. The 6 highschoolers testified not guilty. CNN also mentioned that 3 white students early in the year hung nuces from the school tree and were suspedned, so there seems to be tension at the school to begin with. Now lets try to keep this conversation extremely pc. ANyway the kids were charged with attempted murder and the main kid might be getting 20 years, and they are appealing the courts claiming racism, and that the jury being all white are biased and swayed in regards to the main defendants fate.
The discussion-what do you think should be done, should there possibly be a retrial or whatever is going on, should they be charged with a lesser crime and possible outcomes. Also your opinion on if it was flipped around what would happen.
This trial is going to be extremely interesting to see what happens publicly and socially amongst people if they televise the court hearing if there is going to be one.

shoot them all. no need to bicker in a courtroom over cock swagglers. make sure their parents watch to see what failures they were.

PC is complete and utter BS. Pulling a race card is just a sad attempt to weasel themselves out of the punishment. I don't care how you look at it, but if you commit the crime - you serve the time. Making racist statements is one thing - physically harming someone is another. Besides 6 vs 1 signifies a group of cowards. Let them serve their time.
by pc i meant jsut the discussion itself. But I def. agree that this racism card is a way of possibly trying to get around it and avoiding punishment if they did it. I wonder what would happen if they were foudn innocent.

Pathetic that they're pulling the race card to try get out of it, that's all I can really say, with as little as we know.
I Was watching the same thing on CNN earlier this evening.
I think what upsets me is that the defense was so poor that they couldn't afford a decent attourney and was given someone from the state who sucked as a defender - they didn't even get any witnesses on their behalf.
Its also sad to hear that such blatent racism still exists in the south today (this happened in Louisiana)...before this beating even took place, the fact that there was a tree where only white kids could sit under, and when some black students tried to, nooses were put on the branches. idiots.
regardless of race, i think it's f'd up that SIX people are getting put in jail for over 20 years (granted they'll get out in 8-12) for beating someone up. rediculous.
also to note, two of the six are still in the local city jail since december or so because the family was too poor to post bail (i think they said it was $90k).

So have Al Sharpton and/or Jesse Jackson made statements yet?
I say throw the fucking books at them. Murder/assault is what it is. I don't care if your a one armed African American Muslim, or a minister...you deserve the same punishment as anyone else...regardless of your race. Such bullshit. Pisses me off.
