| Ferry Corsten presents brand new radio show: Corstens Countdown Mark your agenda: On Wednesday July 4, 2007 the world renowned DJ and Dance Producer Ferry Corsten will host the first episode of his brand new radio show Corstens Countdown. Corstens Countdown is a weekly radio show with a monthly chart show every last episode of the month. Ferry will introduce new tracks and plays his favourite records of the moment during the one hour show, while at the same time listeners can vote weekly on his website for the countdown at the end of the month. The final poll will not only be based on the votes, but also on reactions of people, as well current standing on various charts worldwide. This unique concept is the first radio show worldwide that allows listeners to actively vote on the internet and decide what the hits of the future will be. Ferry Corsten, DJ / producer: At the very beginning of my career I listened to a Dutch Radio show called 'The Soulshow' , this was the first radio show playing imported dance records from the US & UK. I was impressed not only with the music but also the way the show was produced. During my first production years I used to have my own radio show on a small radio station in my hometown Rotterdam. It was loads of fun even if it was a lot of work. With the development of technology and all these cool gadgets, I can now produce a radio show according to a concept and standard that I am proud of even while travelling. Corstens Countdown is not just a radio show with good music but a show thats well produced, fun to listen to, and interactive as well. I am really excited that I can finally pick up my old passion of radio and give it a fresh twist. You are in control! Corstens Countdown is a unique chart show where listeners are in control: During each of the first 3 episodes of the month ten top tracks will be introduced by Ferry Corsten, bringing you the newest tracks available, unsigned work of talented artists and his personal favourites. After each episode listeners will be able to actively vote on their favourite track of the show in the special Countdown section on Ferry Corsten s website www.ferrycorsten.com. In the fourth and last show of the month Ferry will present Corstens Countdown Chart: your top 10 favourite tracks based on the voting results of the previous 3 weeks. The radio show will be broadcasted every Wednesday night on dance music's largest Internet radio station, Digitally Imported (www.di.fm ) and Americas largest satellite radio station, XM Radio (www.xmradio.com) XM radio will re broadcast on Sunday evenings as well. Corstens Countdown will premiere on Wednesday July 4, 2007 at 8 pm CET on DI.fm. | Originally posted by pete242 well the way I looked at it briefly was it filled the gap being that TATW was on Tuesdays then this would be on Wednesday with ASOT wrapping up on Thursday. But now it'll be this starting Wednesday, ASOT Thursday and then TATW Friday since they moved to there, though I don't religously go through all these shows. PVD and Tiesto are on every week but I don't listen to them. |
