Does anyone know where I might find a large/high-res copy of this?

I want to blow it up, frame it, and hang it on my wall.

Maybe if I can't get a hi-res version I can go arty and do it in visible dots instead.

yeah, its awesome
if you get the dot size and everything right, from the middle of the room it looks right
won't have the detail, but it should work well

Ok, so I ran it through the Rasterbater, using 5mm dots, and did a couple of test A4s. It looked pretty good, so I ran it through again, this time specifiying 4 x A2 pages to give me a grand image size of 1000 x 800 (39 x 31 inches).

Took it down to a print shop we use at work, they quoted me $40 a sheet, so $160 all up. Add to that framing and mounting, and I'm probably looking at $250 just to get the fucking thing on the wall.

Will have to wait until payday on Wednesday.

Will take a photo when complete.

What the fuck? $40 a sheet? should be more like 15 cents a sheet. What kind of sheets are you using? are they coated with gold? That's really unacceptable. get some quotes from some more shops.

15 cents a sheet?!!!

Obviously you have no previous experience with printing.

A sheet this size, with this much colour, will basically use up an entire conventional print cartridge in one go. Remember that, when combined, the four sheets are a metre long and .8 metres wide.

I was expecting around $15 a sheet, not $40 though.

Remembered a friend who is a printer, he quoted me $100 to print all on one huge sheet, size A0.

Went to a framing place, and they quoted me $300 to mount and frame.

This would be one cool piece of art to have on my wall, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay $400. I could buy a second hand CDJ 200 for that, just for shits and giggles, seeing as I already have 2 800's.

Update 2:

Remembered another friend who is a printer, hopefully he will give me a better quote.

Found a framing place that will do the whole job for $130!

That's still $230 all up, but it's getting more reasonable...
