Next Gen chalk boards
This is a wonderful teaching aid. Looks like it has been developed at MIT. Mechanical engineering guys will appreciate it more, but it's fun to watch nonetheless.
line rider is more powerful than that
that's damn sweet
It'd be super easy to write your name 500 times on that board.
Oh shit that's awesome!
So when this comes out, I'm guessing shortly after there will be a program to simulate two people having sex and you be the drawing producer? I can see it all now in the demo, "Now let's say the man is fucking her, but I want to cut off her legs. I just circle around my previous drawing of the legs, and put a slash through to scratch them out. And now let's see how they interact. As you can see, mobility and agility increase."
hahahahahaha
that won't happen until either a) the computer algorithms learns to simulate horny behavior or b) people develop dynamic equations for sexual interactions
I hope I don't come off as a nerd with this sort of explanations

I am not sure if people have done research on the computational power needed to solve sexual equations.

Next Gen Haircut:

it was good until he said, "let's go back to the drawing board...literally."

it was created by an amateur instead of MIT... gimme a break
anyway, why are you posting 6-7 year old technology?
I found that out after making the thread.
Besides, both softwares serve different end purposes. The ASSIST is more sophisticated as in, it requires a chalk board size sensitive screen and stuff. Further it is meant to be an aid for early stage engineering design. Line Rider was conceived as a small flash game.

thats actually a really old program my dad had that i messed around with a ton.
but the chalkboard thingy is new|
Old or not, still thought it was neat.
I like things that remind me of sci-fi technologies...
kinda cool.
i like this idea also very cool!
That "chalkboard" is really common in schools here atm - our version's called a Smart Board and it can do a tonne of cool stuff, over the last year (my teacher training year) i've been using it a lot. You can put anything up on it and interact with it: web pages, powerpoints, flash animations, etc. Made my teaching a lot more easy/fun and the kids loved it too, they looked forward to my classes because of it even though i teach math

Looks basically like a glorified Smart Board. We used them in high school. Might not have been able to simulate those springs though, but isn't that the software more than anything?
why wasnt this available when i was doing my degree in mech engin...
fuck i miss college.
