The mixing is really great up until after maybe the Prophecy (it's aight then)... I really liked the transition between License to Slink and When we dream though. The keys just go together so well. This ones a very different style to my other mixes (as apposed to mainstream psy, mainstream/IM, morning psy and Dark Psy mixes). This ones got a Astral projection and Electric universey (Protoculture fits in really well here) start and then goes into old school goa which is similar.

Defenitly my favourite mix I've made (for others goto www.last.fm/user/darkarbiter/journal or find their thread here at Tranceaddicts ) and I hope you guys like it too

Anyway point is... if your one of those people who really hate how Psy has the same bassline etc etc you'll like this mix. The Psy that's in it is very melodic (Electric universe and protoculture ) and there isn't really that much of it anyway. As usual thanks to DJ Eccentric for inspiring me to DJ and keep on listening to Goa and PSY.

Maybe I shouldn't fade out so much... didn't think I did much with this one though?

Hey,
I really enjoyed this mix, particularly the old Electric Universe tracks, and of course the Hallucinogen track. It provides a nice flow from modern melodic full on to oldschool Goa trance. What software did you use? Eventually you should try to make beatmatched transitions, right now its most of the time just fading the outro of a track into the intro. Anyway, thanks for sharing, keep them coming!

I mainly use Cool Edit Pro 2.1 ... I know it can do a lot more but I'm not entirely sure of how to use it properly. Anyway I've found that I've been "reading" the wavelink pictures it generates recently to try and work out where each beat starts... and then picking that to attempt to beatmatch stuff. I think I'm defenitly going to work on thinking about playing around with the track order more as well.

Usually when I mix I think wheres a fast track that goes here. I'm thinking perhaps it's better if I have 5 similar tracks in a row that I play them over a bit and work out the optimal order.

Anyway Cybernetika I don't see any threads on the production forums recently about your production. They are great! I like how they are long and yet not repetitive (the reason why I like psy in general) and theres some really emotional/dancey stuff... but I'm sure I could defenitly find some use for them in my mixes. Your one of the few amatuerr psy producers that actually makes something excellent (sorry guys).

yes really liked this mix... did notice the silence at 73 mins, especially as the previous track was energetic, then into silence...oops...

great tunes though, especially the first four tracks...

I'm thinking about doing a Infected mushroom/Juno reactor (gotta be different hey?) mix next. I'm just thinking infected mushroom tracks are gonna be a little hard to mix though... gonna try messing around with some ideas today and yeh I think I need to figure where Cool edit pro's EQ setting is.

[Edit] On second thoughts I think I'm gonna make them seperate mixes(got 2 hours worth of tracks from IM and I'm overflowing).

[Edit] Heres the tracklist (and for the less knowledgeable IM fans heres the albums as well)
Tracklist for Mushroom not so delicous
1. Merlin--------
2. Dream Theatre- MERLIN
3. Psycho--------
4. Dracul- Classical Mushroom
5. Scorpion Machine- Converting Vegetarians
6. Frog Machine---------
7. Ratio Schmatio------- I'm the Supervisor
8. Cities of the Future---
9. B.P. Empire----
10. Funchmelon-- B.P Empire
11. Symphonic- Some compilation CD with Yahel

I was kinda undecided about whether dancing with Kadafi or Symphonic should go last... Dancing with kadafi fits the feel better but Symphonic fits the mood better so I ended up going with Symphonic.

I know lots of people will probably hate this because I'm one of those people who thinks that I'm the Supervisor and B.P. Empire are IM's best albums. I meen converting vegetarians kinda had the B.P. empire feel ... but 1 rythmn at a time instead of 2 or more=failed song

[Edit] Inserted muze breaks (off I'm the supervisor) between ratio schmatio and Cities of the future.

[Edit] BTW I hardly consider any of the psy tracks full on... aren't they more fast (not quite full on)? I meen we're not exactly talking XI here.
