what's the worst possible way to die?

use your imaginations, everyone.

Being flayed alive, then cooked whilst Backstreet Boys/Nsyncs etc are singing in the background and laughing.

Hmm, do i sound alittle psychotic?

Having someone solidfy razorblades inside ice cubes and make you eat them. They would tear up your insides and you would bleed to death. Ouch. Also i think being thrown into a wood-chipper would be a shitty way to die also.

Drowning....

Someone tie you up and put your NADS between a VICE, and proceed to squash them till FLAT, by this time you will have BLED to death or DIED from MASS amounts of PAIN!!

Be burned alive or drowing...i think be burned alive is the worst way to die..since you know you are going to die and it takes a long time.

Dieing when you sleep is the best way to die

I agree with the drowning and burning alive thing. That's terrible!
Any type of death where panic is involved I think sucks... I would rather die from a heartattack first before drowning!

I liked the icecube one... lol !... now there is someone with an imagination! Any form of torture is brutal !!... Like stretching someone... or winding out their intestines like that movie "the cell". ACK!....
OH WAIT... NOoooooo... I think the worst way to die is by being MURDERED... abducted, raped, then murdered... I think that's the worst way. That would scare the crap out of me.

I've occasionally discussed this issue with some of my friends (ok, I'm a psycho - so what), and according to one, whose grandfather drowned, was dead for 15 minutes, and then raised, drowning should be a pleasant experience once you stop panicking. Very peaceful and painless.

Being burned alive should be pretty ok as well, as the smoke and pain would render you unconscious pretty fast. Teoretically, though, if you tie somebody to a chair, and slowly charrs them with a blowtorch or similar, they could be kept alive for a long time...

Looking back in time you'll appreciate that our ancesters really knew how to torment people. Vlad Dracul of Romania used to impale his enemies on wooden sticks, which - in addition to the anal humiliation - would mean a good few hours of pain before death would occur. The ancient egyptians executed in a much faster but brutal way, by continually tightening a string with evenly spaced knots around your head, until you, well, popped.
Also one should not forget crucifixion which is the process in which your own body weight tears you apart with the added bonus of thirst and hunger. The process of dying in this way can be prolonged if the victim is tied to the cross instead of nailed.
For the most painful ways to go, I believe you should look at the history of Scandinavia. Back in the age of the vikings, they had a process called "grilling an eagle", which consisted in tearing your ribs out your back, leaving you on the stomach waiting for gravity to compress your organs. Later, in the 17th century, when Schweden reclaimed Skaane and Haland, they punished danish collaboraters by hammering a metal spear next to their spine, and then planted the end firmly in the ground. Dying should apparently have taken up to a week.

It may appear like I have an unhealthy interest in this topic. I really don't, I just have a problem forgetting things that really do me no good in my daily life. This is also why I remember each and every scene of the horror movies I've seen in my time, and why I know heaps of stuff about sharks.

I heard a story about a man who had an outhouse, and one day while taking a shit the floor collapsed and he fell into the hole below, and some of the wooden planks impaled his arm and he couldnt escape. He was down there 3 days before he was found (he survived). He says the worst part were the snakes and rats (not to mention the smell)

The chineese used to pour water down your throat until your stomach exploded. that must not be very pleasant

Which actually means that you just fell over while walking and drownd in a puddle.

I think the worst way to die would be to get tied up with all four limbs extended and getting covered with millions upon millions of papercuts. (cause you know how bad just one hurts)

The best way to die would have to be dieing of fear. IMO. because I love being scared. I have actually almost died from being scared because I stopped breathing.

I think starving to death would be nasty... U'd eventually get so small and boney and look really disgusting and u'd feel really sick and hungry and.. YUCK!

I also think being beheaded is bad... I know most of you would disagree, but just think about what's going through your head in the time of you waiting to get beheaded!!! ahhhhhhhh.... that's the worst feeling!..... and I heard you can still continue to see for 8 seconds after your head get's cut off. ew!

We all die......and death is a part of the life cycle......does it really matter how you die?.
