Okay. So like...how do I write this review...

Last night for the July installment of DJ Eddie G's gig at Blue, it was Eddie of course headlining, along with Twinkeastwood, Eyekon......and me.

Twink, despite suffering a very recent and traumatic loss, nontheless brought his game to Blue and played what was easily the best opening set I've heard since Roxxia at Blue several months ago. Full, pure on trance mixed with prog and a couple of....other tunes. Lots of energy. I let him borrow one of my CDs which had the Paul van Dyk remix of 2Raumwohnung - 36 Grad and he LOVED the song, as well as the chicks! Twink, again my condolences but you def. def a top notch job tonight and I look forward to seeing you again.

After Twink came DJ Eddie G...south florida legend, my friend and producer. Another trademark Blue set: energetic, hard, nasty, vocal. People dancing the entire time and still gracing the decks with his beloved vinyl. He closed his set with one of his latest remixes. His sets get better and better each time at Blue.

After him...came me...

I had a lot of trouble bringing my intro track in due to the complexity of Eddie's remix, fucked up mixing every single time (except once, believe it or not, I had it on point, but still slightly off ) but still had people loving what I played and dancing.

Vadim Zhukov - Dreams Come True (I forgot what mix it was.)
Paul van Dyk - Animacion (I played this for nfkted out of spirit and texted him about it. Wish you coulda been there for it, I know how much you love this song, and the people loved it too!)
Filo & Peri - Ordinary Moment (Main mix)
RMB - Deep Down Below (Humate remix)
DJ Vesiga vs. Jomar - Nightoperator (Club mix)
Paul van Dyk - Avenue <- pure NASTINESS. It made me so happy to have finally played this song live, the VERY FIRST PVD song I ever heard.
Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (En Motion mix)

Despite my fucked mixing, I still had a great time. The only major downside was that this one guy was bugging me like hell while I was jamming to my songs, especially during Synesthesia. Guy was telling me shit and was holding me so close I thought the focker was gonna kiss me. Next time that happens I'm calling security!

Eyekon came after me and played like 2 songs to close. I DID offer for him to take over during Avenue but he said for me to play one track so I did. Perfect mixing (a far cry from mine ) -

A great night...wanna give many thanks to DJ Eddie G, whom without this would never have been possible for me to do what I love to do, for believing in me and being my biggest supporter, Manny and Rodrigo (VADE) for stopping by. It meant a lot to me. I wish some of you could have made it. ;/ Also thanks to Eyekon for giving me the extra song...people LOVED Synaethesia...the En Motion mix and VANDIT mix are the best ones ever.

the mixing was not bad, you just turn the levels way down on one and then bring in the other..making a big gap in sounds. the mixing was pretty goo tho, and people liked the music

i thought it was cool how they have that guy doing video now

Well as long as they liked it that's all that matters to me.

I was trying hard to ignore the video camera. I can't believe that last night was webcast LIVE The damn thing kept shooting pics randomly and with a flash too.
