Isn't it ironic that Japan is at the very bottom of the list yet Kobayashi was the defending champ for the last 6 years?

Fat or not, in many cultures, obesity is a desirable trait because it connotes success and power. That grosses me out more than anything.

I often considered that when a nation or a culture is becoming more fat, its a sign of stagnation, laziness, weakening socially and culturally. Japs have it in tradition, but they are still fairly slim overall. US hasn't been as fat historically, or has it? Its degrading, the American society. They're getting fatter. They have nothing to look for, no determination and pursuit of something. The Japs are running around like crazy losing weight, up to something, while more and more Americans are determined to spend the rest of their lives in a McDonalds or beside their TV .. the gain of fat is to show for it. You cant go very far with 100's of pounds of weight. Pretty soon a race between an average American and a turtle will turn into a tie.
