Whats Love Got To Do With It
I wasn't going to post this, but a few people convinced me too because they liked it just a lil bit. It isn't as perfect as i would like it to be, but i set my standards pretty high( i was too when recording lol), so maybe someone might enjoy this. Not a promo or anything...just having fun with the cdj's and playing some tunes

Please wait 41 seconds
no its just completely silent because i wanted to be uber "minimal"
about an hour of great tracks played silent...move over ricardo
lush track selection and overall progression -- the overall set builds better than your last one imo. transitions are smooth, but give me a few more days to really pick them apart.
props to keeping your shit together around 47:21. my ears kept straining to find an off beat...
just wondering how many subliminal messages you inserted
PS. the mix title's scaring people.
Great set bro, gave it a listen last night. The tracks are obviously hot and the transitions sound pretty tight. I going to listen to this mofo a couple more times
Mix was teh sex. Had me grooving at work (Y)

Steal and run
some really interesting tunes on here... didn't feel like it had that "whole" feeling... but that will come with more time.. solid collection of good tunes though
thanks greg....i concentrated mostly on the mixing as i think i finally have the deck skills sufficient enough to put traktor away for good...but thats what im waiting to see from you guys. I'll probably do something a little more planned next month...this was more a hey guys i really like this stuff mix. Thanks as always for listening mang
I listened but I need to listen to this mix again before I can review it
the ending was fucking weird haha (not a bad thing)
i usually like to throw in something weird at the end just to be different...last mix was brass bonanza aka the hartford whalers fight song...I just listened to the Psyence Fiction CD and decided i was feeling like a ball buster too...thanks for listening man, look forward to your critiques
Listened to this three times now:
Really fun, sexy mix, great job mixing and stringing these tracks together. The set flows really well up until after mental draining. I felt you could have 'busted our balls' a bit more after that track since there is a lot of building energy, by dropping a stormer with a buildup and then cutting out right after the buildup to that commercial.
the way it is in this mix I felt like whatever you built up crumbled with the disco 2 disco track. i guess that track doesn't do much for me sober? it's a little tenaglia. (last time i saw the man he lipsynced a 10 minute dialogue on the proper pronunciation of 'can i please have a hamburger' at like 10 in the morning)
but yeah the rest of it was fire. The first track is gorgeous and flawlessly mixed with i'll lick your spine (i can't tell, is that a lesbian voice or a creepy male internet stalker voice?) very nice
I really liked what you did with mental draining after the disco bus, since I played that track in tantra. It's cool because you used the same track in a completely different way, and in the context of your set the track is revealed completely differently and different parts stand out. I used it mainly for melodic value, you used it for a more rhythmic effect. Like I said, I think you could have done more with what you had built for yourself. But in a way it's interesting because you sort of willingly crumpled the mix up like a piece of paper and laughed at it, and I think it's good not to take it seriously and have fun with it.
Good stuff.
ps the ball buster ending is great
thanks alot man! The Wighnomy Bros remix of Disco 2 Disco was just an attempt of trying to end things happily. I try and keep my recordings to around an hour and there were a few more tracks i felt like playing...but yeah totally on about that track. I started this set with only the first and last track in mind...so im sure i limited myself by doing this. I really want to work on not having a set tracklist or idea to work with before hand and mix on the fly. I'm just starting to be able to do this effectively(no wrecks) so appreciate you saying it had a decent clip to it.Maybe ill just start recording for like 2 hours and use the best 60. I'm also gonna just do a set of the week thing where i don't have a plan and post them. I don't expect too many listeners due to the volume of music that is, but i really want to practice this on the fly programming aspect.
Expect weird endings as per usual...cheers man.
edit
ne cheat i do use is i write the key of the track beside the track when i label my cd's so it does come into play with track influence as well.
this has officially earned a slot on my ipod. cheers xx
