'Pre' latency problem in Cubase

This is going to be hard to explain but please bear with me..
When I record my notes in Cubase with my midi controller - even though I auto quantize, when I play it back the notes seem to have recorded 'before' they should have. I then have to go into the piano roll and manually move them to where they should be. Does that make sense?
I have tried quantizing in 8ths, 16ths, and 32nds, but it happens everytime.
I dont have latency problems or anything like that, so dont quite understand whats happening - can you guys help?

TMP

I had a similar problem a while ago. I solved it by searching the Steinberg forum. If I remember it correctly my issue was solved by checking timestamp and/or switching emulated midi drivers.

Ive just changed my driver to the ASIO4ALL, because I just bought a Behringer mixer. I think it was doing it before though. Whats the 'timestamp' thing you mentioned?

Thanks.

Devices > Device Setup > MIDI: check 'Use System Timestamp'
