Is this any good?
I'm looking to make my first purchase of some cd decks and a mixer and was just after some advice on what I should be aiming to buy, I have been doing lots of surfing but its all a bit confusing at this stage, as to what I should be aiming to buy etc.
Package I'm looking at
Is this any good for my first purchase?
Thanks guys
it'll be okay...i had the s1000 before, they get the job done well but the pitch can be a pain every so often. if you can handle stutter/cdj mode, get the pioneer cdj-200s
they have cdj-200+djm 400 packages available as well
Those decks are a bit pricey...
For that amount you could get a pair of CDJ 800s and a nice mixer.

i've found this
package 1
and its cheaper!
go for it
I highly recommend StoreDJ to anyone, Iv dealt with these guys before and I'm getting a deck sent up from there store to my house in Brissy. The prices are the best of the best.. I went into a few stores the other day and no price even came close to how low i paid through StoreDJ. And delivery times are great.. I only ordered my deck on Friday but i gaurantee it will be at the doorstep by tomorrow (Tues).
As for those cdjs, Id also recommend you get Pioneer CDJ200s.. There ALOT cheaper than the denons and they're solid. Buy 2 of them and a decent mixer and your off.. Save the rest of the money for the day when your ready to get 1000s
That is a solid package. Just be careful with having stuff shipped from Hong Kong. I know a couple of people who had bad experiences with buying DJ equipment from another country via eBay. One dude got completely burned b/c it was a fraudulent auction. The other guy got his stuff, but had to pay a bunch of import fees to get it released from customs.
^^ What he said... More emphasis on the being careful with ebay.

contact djwarehouse and ask for their price. The website is always not the cheapest but often they are the best price once you talk to them
DJ Warehouse Pioneer CDJ200
This price is about right, I think i paid 699 or so for mine off ebay (New) off Cannons Sound and Lighting. Next day the price went back up so i got lucky. Id recommend calling them and see'ing if you can beat them down on price (Maybe even see if you can get a cheaper price by buying 2).
Buy two of them and any decent mixer (I started out on a Numark DXM01 thats just lying around here collecting dust now) You could even buy my old mixer off me if you like.. Retail they're still about $369 off StoreDJ and id settle for $150 (Not including postage though).
Depending on where you live you may even like to do pick-up.
Id also recommend going to www.inthemix.com.au which is a lot more local and check there buying/selling section.. They might have something for you. Pickup a decent pair of headphones off StoreDJ and you should be all set.
Hope this helps at all..
