Posted by colonelcrisp on Jul-12-2007 12:32:

overrated imo..... i like the harder forms of goa/psy anyways.... sphongle always put me to sleep

Posted by TranceGiant on Jul-12-2007 13:59:

Didn't like their last one so much. Too many guitars, too little "psychedlia". My favourite is "Tales..".

Posted by denys envy on Jul-12-2007 14:05:

first album was the best. seems like they're taking the Crystal Method route.

Posted by tranceDJ on Jul-12-2007 15:35:

"Nothing Lasts..." was great although it didn't compare to their first two albums. They definitely were moving towards more traditional dance music beats but there was some down-tempo, ambient stuff still in there. My hope is that for the fourth album they essentially "go back to their roots" and make something along the lines of "Tales" and "Are you Shpongled?"

I think it was great. As someone who hadn't discovered them earlier, I thought it was a really good album, allbeit more of a 'world' music style which they looked for. Very well done. When you have people with such talent, they need to showcase it, rather than the one trick ponies we see so much of

Posted by Sunsnail on Jul-12-2007 22:19:

I loved all of their albums

Posted by chach on Jul-12-2007 22:23:

That would be 'Dorset Perception' (Sasha's own edit though). First track on "Tales of the Inexpressible".

Even if they don't play their instruments on stage the fact that they CAN actually play instruments like the flute and guitar among others sets them apart in the EDM world.

yeah but i can pay to see a rock concert for $5 and see a dude bust out arpeggios over 4 octaves in perfect time on a keyboard, why should I pay $40 to see simon posford wave his arms around and move sliders??

Posted by TranceGiant on Jul-12-2007 22:51:

I thought Raja Ram was more like a hippie-mascott for the project and not a real contributor excpet for some flute playing.
