| Originally posted by DJ_Eternal I really liked the Descent too. I loved the 'Evil Dead' series which was more of a comedy/horror trilogy, apprently there is a new one in the pipeline without Bruce Campbell Imo he made it was it was.I also liked a few of the Stephen King movies like IT. The Shining was great too. I'm a real big 'horror' fan, but there's a lack of really good horrors nowadays. |

Also, Jim Carrey is such a ripoff of Bruce Campbell...I thought the original Texas Chainsaw was good although the remake with Jessica Biel was just hot shit, not a good movie though..and the original Halloween. |
1. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre [1974]
2. The Shining [1980]
3. Halloween [1978]
4. Psycho [1960]
5. Rosemary's Baby [1968]
the shower scene in Psycho will always be the best for creating tension without the gore....honourable mention to the twins in the Shining.

I really love Zombie movies and anything George A Romero (The Crazies was good too)....to me gore is fun, but if you can scare without it you are a master. Italian horror is good too.
i forget the name...The Grave Keeper...something like that...so good.
also the score plays a huge role..(exorcist,halloween,)
Exorcist 1 and The Beginning
Night of the Living Dead 2
fuck so many...where do i start

IT
the book was better but awesome mini series...as was The Stand
Glitter
Horror movies
I seriously can't remember the last time I was actually scared and or jumped while watching one. SK movie always make me jitter a bit and keep me interested as if I was the one in the movie. The problem with most "horror" movies that come out now and recently the past 10 years or so are too predictable. The music, the cheese, the acting.. just too predictable to be kept thinking and on the edge of your seat for the next attack or scream.

The horriest goriest of them all is Cannibal Holocaust..a controversial classic.

Return of the Living Dead
Braindead

Zombie
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
IT
