Lustral - Deeper Darker Secrets (Remix Album)

Anyone heard this? Is it worth buying?
Cheers

It's horrible, boring shitty progressive house is what most of it is. A disgrace to Lustral, don't waste your money.

I like the song Lustral - Because of You (Noel Sanger Remix)
but yeah, not worth spending money on

I enjoyed the original album a lot more than the remix album... there still are a few pretty good remixes, but not worth buying imo

Where did you get the unmixed artist album from? Looking for it and I tstill haven't found it.

I bought the Lustral Deeper Darker for the sake of Lustral - couple nice tracks but overall, just fillers.

From the soundclips I've heard of the tracks it seems like this remix album is a big disappointment. Why take music by an artist known for their emotional vocals and memorable melodies, and make a load of dull progressive tracks that do nothing interesting with it?

A real wasted opportunity, especially when there are some good remixes of these tracks floating around the Internet that will probably never get officially released. You could build up a better collection of remixes yourself with these if you can find them - look for remixes by Beetseekers, Airillusions, Oliver Carr, Magdelayna etc.

Still waiting for news on a CD release of the original album..

the problem is that the trance artists who could create raw emotion don't anymore. Baroque obviously went for a safer route & it will grow on you. the flash brothers & funkageneda remixes are well worth hearing.

Yes Funkagenda remix is really nice.

obviously there are some trance artists who've done/could do good remixes like Simo's Beetseekers one, but I think trance is too dirty a word amongst many still which is a shame, cos the talent is still around if you look past the obvious

I'm very disappointed if any of my remixes can be found full on net. I've trusted my remixes for very few selected people, well very few djs... adv1 have you found full versions?

regards,
Simo (beetseekers)

No it's alright I haven't seen downloads of your remixes anywhere, just heard them (I think it was on MySpace?) There are a few other artists who've made their remixes available on various sites or forums but usually only for a limited time then take them down. That's the thing: there are quite a few remixes I've heard that I think sound better than the ones on the remix album, but don't have the official approval so probably won't ever get a proper release. I just think that's a shame as some (like yours) sound really good..

Ok, thank you.

It's important that they haven't been leaked. There might be still a little hope for release, Steve is going to ask Baroque about it. He thought they wanted to release atleast everytime & price we pay remixes.

Just listened to your (beatseekers) remixes - def. better than any of remixes on the album

Is the only way to get the unmixed album is via download off of lustralmmusic.com/audiojelly?

"solace (beetseekers main mix)" and "everytime (beetseekers cherish mix)" were one of the best tracks for me last year (both in top10) and are sure to go with me everytime i go to the beach to grill & hang out.

it's an absolute joke that they didn't get included into this album. if tracks like that can't get a release then there is something seriously wrong with the label.

the thing is, the moment you knew it was baroque, you knew the kind of style that they'd be going for. For many instances it would've worked, but Lustral needs more talent, artists like simo have proved, but you could also have mr kuisma, incolumis, add a older-sounding breaks mix from Hybrid or WoW again, even add a more upbeat version from someone like vibrasphere or human blue then orkidea, alucard, Recluse etc and have got more out of the album. That aside, as I said before, the funkaegenda dub and the flash brothers remix are both really nicely done, but some of the others don't fit into the greatness of what Lustral has been remixed before.
