Deep House at the moment

There is so much good stuff coming out, i feel as if house is really growing on me again with the likes of Jimpster, Quentin Harris and Dennis Ferrer making amazing tracks. Anyone else feeling this stuff at the moment and coule recommend me some quality tracks?

Yeah deep house is definitely making a comeback.

Overall it's a great thing, but I'm not sure I particularly want to listen to six hours of it at a club.

Will check that mix out for sure, always looking for anything fresh and housey. Track recommendations too, appreciate them. On the club point I agree, the good thing is that the stuff is such good home listening yet I can go a club and experience something more techno like which at home I can't listen to non-stop.

Few to mention:

Theo Parrish - Falling Up (Chateau Flight Remix / Dub)
Outlines - Listen To The Drums (Jazzanova Remix - Dixon Edit) - maybe tune of the year so far
Zwo! - Static Refill (DJinxx Moods Remix)
Cloudkickers feat Marcus - Bring On The Night (Rocco Trodeep Remix)

god i hope not

i think tech house will take all the shit of popularity and leave the deep stuff alone

I wish people would stop trying to generate what movement is coming. Couldn't personally give a shit how many others are into what I like.

Semirk, nefardec does care

Can't see it happening though, but wouldn't be bothered either way as long as the tracks are still good.

Everyone's getting older.

I wouldn't want to hear it at a club period. Purely music for the lounge/afterparty/comedown/recover times.

Maybe if you're talking about Naked Music style deep house, but I think Plastic City, Freerange, and Sonar Kollektiv are pretty suited to clubs...

+1 one of the sickest kicks ive ever felt was that of jimpster

Posted by kadomony on Jul-13-2007 19:32:

ive been liking this new wave of deep house as well, its incorporating a lot of tech house elements.

Slytek- Entropy (Audio Cubist Mix)

It definitely depends on tastes.

The other nite, a local dj spun for about 6 hours, deep and tech house, but the way he handled it all together, it was just amazing, throwing some spacey groovy music at peak time and the whole club was just dancing like there was no tomorrow... And I'm talking about a club where people expect to hear tribal & prog. Party lasted till 10am...

It doesn't have to be 126+ to dance.

Naked music style is my favorite kind of edm. Soft, dubby, relaxing around 115 bpm. It's not intrusive, it doesn't get on your nerves if you just want to sit down and have a drink, and you can still dance to it if you really want to.
