Remixing......

If I wanted to remix a track released, let's say, by TSUNAMI, can I just contact them to get the loops? Just tell them that i want to remix one of their tracks? how does all that work?

normaly its the otherway around unless your a "big name". the artist or label that put the track out will ask you to remix it. if they just handed out the tracks to anyone that wanted to remix then there would be no control over it and there would be 100's of hafe ass undergrownd mix's. if you really want to get into remixing then keep your eyes open for remixing compo's. acid planet has like 4 every month (everything from the metal band static-x to madona). but the better ones can be found in intermusic.com or FM magazine...
