Menno was Awesome. Played an amazing set, and got alot of people going. It was great to see so many TAs in the crowd. I was personally jumping around like a deranged monkey, it was great, didnt even wanna stop to do lightshows cause i was having so much fun. I was a bit upset that i was stuck working a double shift till 2 am, but the night came out to be pretty enjoyable nontheless.

Ralphie B-Massive
Menno De Jong-Tundra (Fierce Dub)
Jonas Steur ft. Jenifer Rene-Fall to pieces (opened with this)
Kimito Lopez-Sub Runner
Alex Barlett-Touched by the sun
Pascal Feliz-From inside the speaker
Filo & Peri-The Anthem (Nic Chagall Remix)
Salt Tank-Eugina (Micheal Woods Remix)
Coldplay-X & Y (Leon Bolier Remix)
Ferry Corsten-Beautiful (Original Extended Mix
Mekka-Diamondback

Encore of.......

Veracoche-Carte Blanche

Nice seeing everyone, was a good atmosphere with everyone trying to have a good time. Typical Guv crowd as expected, a bit more packed than I would have thought. Menno is a true nerd DJ and although his flow was off at times, he played some really good tracks. I think it was an extra special night for him personally because he had always said that the Guv is his dream destination to play a gig.

+1!!!

Had such an amazing night! It was awesome to hangout again with so many TAs! You guys definitely make the night that much better!!

Can't wait to see what MDJ does in the future...he's got a lot of talent!

PS. Don't drink Red Bull & Absinthe...it kinda fucked me up for the first couple of hours!

Overall it was an awesome night and can't wait to see him come back to the Guv! It looks like he had an awesome time!

PS. Coxx, i didn't forget, i'll do it before tonight haha

What a fun night, wow.

Great meeting a bunch of you: Christine, Shaya, Mike, Katie, and a bunch others!

The line took no time. Chilled outside for a bit to listen to MO's set. He dropped a sweet remix of Les Djinns. We had some time to kill so we placed bets on what tracks he would play and I won!

The set was exactly what I hoped for. Great tracks, bumping transitions and a great atmosphere.

Can't wait till the next one!

It was a fun night.

I never really heard much from Menno before last night, so I did not what to expect.

He played pretty well, and kept it fun most of the night. His predictable hard track, vocal track repetition got a bit tiring after a while, because you always knew what was coming next.

What did impress me is the older tracks that he played; you do not really hear them played by others anymore. Lots of tunes I had always wanted to hear in a club, and sure enough they were taken off the list after last night.

Man the Guv felt different last night. I do not know what it was about the crowd, but it just felt off. It took me A LONG time to get into the flow, and build off the rest of the crowd's energy.

(wow I'm slow today, need more sleep)

PS - Menno might as well be Tiesto with those poses and mannerisms.

In regards to menno, what time did he stop playing? I only drank alcohol last night so I could only last till 4am.

Also, insane vibe, menno seemed to do the job well, I thought he would of got off at 3-4 hours but it seems he enjoyed what he was doing so he was going to be awhile.

what's your name ? and what were you wearing cuz a bit of ppl came up to me and said hello...

k... just.... WOW!! That was so amazing. Menno loves his trance, and his live dj'ing is just getting better and better (definitely an improvement over last summer, and I thought he was awesome back then!) He loves good tunes, whether they are new or old, and I don't understand why more DJ's don't play older tracks... those songs are the reason we got addicted to trance, so you KNOW we'll be happy!!

Sickest part of the set for me was Midway - Monkey Forest.. then followed by Subrunner, killed me. I was also very happy to hear Touch the Sun in a club... mostly because this past week I've listened to it many many times while making a mash-up with it, hehe.

I was also happy to meet a few TAs in the crowd. Seems like we had a good section of partyers going up front! For those who don't know me, I was wearing the blue Superman shirt last night. The music makes me go a little nuts sometimes, sorry if I bothered anyone, lol. (I love how people will come up to me asking what I'm on or if I have any pills to sell... the only thing in my body at trance parties is WATER!)

Rating: infinity/10... I've been to a LOT of live trance sets, in toronto, belgium, netherlands, ibiza... this one was the best I've had the pleasure to witness! I hope he comes back soon!!!

would definitely have to agree with you on that one ....

I had a blast ......anyone in there last night could see how happy he was to be there and I think most of us were feeding of his energy since the crowd was not cooperating lol...Menno is an amazing person and an artist and you can tell its not fake...LOVES IT

Awesome tracks especially the classics such as saltwater and carte blanche
I also realized how much I hate Ferry Corsten's- Beautiful I simply cannot stand that track anymore lol it kills my vibe

I think he played a very good set a mixture of hard and euphoric ...god damn are we hard to please good seeing all TA's my girls and Ali who's been waiting as long me to see Menno in Toronto and I know you loved him

Can't wait to see him back and now I can go to Amsterdam!!!!!!!!!!!!!woooooooooo

Doode...I rarely converse with anyone in the clubs whom I dont know. Sad but true. YOU on the other hand, I saw the purity in your moves that you were there for the music. Instantly drawn in.
Get your frined Alex on TA!! hahaha

oh and BTW its Katy

onto my review..... The music was unreal...Menno's energy was beautiful...

It was well put by Nada... "He's telling you a story"

TRANCE.... Thank you for bringing some trance back into T.O.

I agree... he should have played the stuff he was playing after Menno. Some good stuff that woulda had me going for sure.

On the other hand, as soon as Menno drops the first track which was like 15bpm faster than everything MO played, it just got me really excited, so I guess maybe the contrast was good.

good point

once I stayed to here MO close after a headliner (Seb Fontaine), and it was such a let down, I left so my night wouldn't get ruined by the stuff he was playing
