a yawn?

Posted by Sunsnail on Jul-16-2007 10:10:

Its a very mild show of humor recognition. the little leap that your upper torso gives is from a weak inaudible laugh.

Posted by shaw on Jul-16-2007 10:12:

air goes out, spine straightens, "heh"

idk what it's called.

Posted by Sushipunk on Jul-16-2007 11:20:

I don't know if it's been defined before.

I would call is a 'Hm'

Hiccup?

Posted by Domesticated on Jul-16-2007 12:34:

It's called a "heh", that's what it's called.

It's the better looking cousin of "meh".

A chortle?

EDIT:

chortle

noun
1. a soft partly suppressed laugh

Posted by Sunsnail on Jul-16-2007 14:07:

I think its a step below chuckle on the laughter intensity scale

Are you sure? Dictionary.com says a chuckle is a laugh to oneself of mild amusement. Sounds about right to me!

Posted by Ygrene on Jul-16-2007 14:10:

A chortle is a cross between a chuckle and a snort. I don't know where that gets us.

Posted by Sunsnail on Jul-16-2007 14:10:

Nah, a chuckle would be "heh, heh, ..heh."

Hmmm, I dunooooooooooo!!

I think it's debatable!

Posted by Cipha Sounds on Jul-16-2007 14:15:

I'm not smart enough to answer that.

Posted by Sunsnail on Jul-16-2007 14:17:

Actually, Lira may not be a very good authority on laughter. He does laugh like "Huahuahuahuah"

Posted by Ygrene on Jul-16-2007 14:18:

I'm a little angry that you are disregarding 'chortle'.

Posted by Sunsnail on Jul-16-2007 14:18:

chortling isn't even close to what I'm describing
