Press Reviews

Knowledge Magazine (General Midi Guest review)

Sinister have been on a roll of late and new signing Sam Hell has definitely upd the ante with this little number. The original is a tightly packed, heads down, hands in the air affair. Rolling and techy this builds nicely and definitely goes off in the right places! Groove Diggerz take it into slightly deeper territory but its none the worse for that. Thisll definitely be in the box for a while.

Sam Hell aka Jim Holland is a new UK artist in Sinister's ranks.

Dig
Top slice of tech-funk goodness with nice splash of vocals and live slapbass ripping through. As a bonus, you get Groove Diggerz re-rub that takes you on a murky drive and killer build- up.

Stay Out All Night

Stay out all night gets to the business of grooving from the opening bell, opening with some nice tribal house. a chunky housey break and this badass organic slap bass follow to continue the techy groove. this tune drives like all hell, and with the additions of the vocals about staying all night, and cool fills make for a great little number. the main build sees a druggy tribal groove driven by the blap bass and these awesome little techno noises build up to the conglomeration of the earlier groove and the techno stabs. slick number this one is. i cant wait to hear it on a system.

Stay Out All Night (Groove Diggerz Mix)

The diggerz continue to impress me, and this tune is no different. in fact, i think they get better with each release. they take sam hell's techy original, and add in a dose of dark funky punch, while managing to keep the seriously druggy, but driving nature in-tact. sweet funky stabs and echoing vocals fill out the chunk of the tune before this big dragging angry synth comes out that will pretty much pwn anyone. the main build sees more a less druggy build, but different vocals on top of a building and bubbling acid line. the build continues up until it breaks into another quick vocal build and breaks into everything back again with some hella nice acid. tune bangs out until the end. this is hands down my favorite groove diggerz tune to date. wicked.

and don't forget to check out the groove diggerz best of collection, entitled singles vol.1 out now on vinyl and digital courtesy of breakin even records.

AVAILABLE IN VINYL SHOPS NOW, AND DIGITAL ON JULY 26TH.

Ian's Note: If Sam Hell's picture isnt more fitting for this release, i don't know what is.
