Evil1 question for fruitloops 3 - please help

I am a newbie @ fruitloops, thought after 30mins or so, I made the sample included by adding some effects.
The problem I have is the following : I have a pattern with the kick/bass/snares and another one with tha ffffffffff sound for the beginning... In the playlist I chose Pat2|Pat1|Pat1...
but I want the fffff sound from pattern 2 to stop after a specific time, but it continues through the rest of the song... Anyone understood? :P Could you help? I know it is because of the effects, but how can I fix it?

This may do the trick (but not sure)...It sounds like you have the decay and or hold too high and you need to turn it down some on the fffff sound....

I just today figured out how the fuck to make this stop, lol. I had the exact same problem in one of my beats.

It is the decay, hold, or release that is too long. When you click on the "fffffff" as you call it (lol) and it's settings come up go to the "envolope" settings. The last 4 knobs will control this. Mess with those some untill you get the sound like you want it.

Good luck with this beat!

Thumbs up

Thanks for the help but I found another easier way :
I just right-clicked on the volume knob (left of the sampler) and then
clicked on "Edit Events" and controled the sound so it starts/stops whenever I want

No dont just turn the volume down. If u do that the sample will still be playing throughout the song, wasting processor power. What u need to do is get rid of the sustain in the envelope. that should sort it.
