Geeks: Mac Book noob question(s)
I just bought a mac book and am trying to wrap my head around simple things. I've been told that when you can't figure out something, it's because you're used to doing it the difficult windows way.
Some questions:
- why won't safari take up the whole screen when I maximize it using the button at the top left of the screen?
- is it possible to create a shortcut that deletes entire words at a time instead of individual letters/characters?
- how can I import the organization that I have on my other installations of MSN messenger, or is that not possible?
- What is the best way to connect this laptop to my other laptop to transfer files? I have an 80gb ipod, would that work (well)?
I'm sure I will have more questions but some help with the above would be a good starting point and very much appreciated!

You will be able to "right click" just as if you were using a PC. Without the mouse, you need to hold down the CTRL key every time you want right click functionality. Microsoft Messenger:Mac BLOWS. Nowhere near as good as the PC version. |

| Originally posted by Chris Allen Ever heard of Force Quit? Honestly the problems I have with a PC are completely avoided when using a Mac. As for productivity and integration with audio production + graphic design, there is nothing like using a Mac. I'm not even a Mac fan-boy as I still work for Microsoft, but I do prefer the usability features in a Mac to a PC, hands down. |
I will go with geroin for this one, I used photoshop with the mac and it blows compared to the windows version.
Force quit, yeah been there, done that... but that doesn't mean anything, it still crashes.
I would recommend a mac to my mom but thats about it, there's way too much limitation with them.
