Would you like to share your music on our site?

We have just completed our guest mix section on our website, www.area709.com , and are beginning to connect with artists we think might be a good match for the kinds of sounds we are after.

At the moment, Area 709 has three main areas of focus:

- Psytrance (full-on, nighttime, progressive and minimal)
- House (progressive, tribal, electro and tech)
- Downtempo (dub, idm, ambient and ethno)

As well, we are also open to other sub genres and sounds such as:

- drum and bass (atmospheric)
- techno (minimal, warm and glitchy)
- trance (progressive and tech)
- breaks (progressive, experimental and elecro)

We are looking for exceptional mixes that clearly express a depth and maturity (i.e. no overt drug references) both in track selection as well as artist mixing/production skill. Our goal is to slowly collect an online treasure of really incredible mixes for our listeners to enjoy. That being said we reserve the right to review mixes that have been submitted and will only publish those we feel our listeners will enjoy.

We are also looking at keeping the artists represented on our site balanced between talented lesser-known individuals and those that are already established.

It is important to note that our site does not charge to host the guest mixes, and once the mix is submitted it will be available for download by our listeners and aired on our online radio station.

If you are at all interested just PM me with a link to your mix so I can check it out, or if you would like more information about our site, just PM me and I would be happy to help you out.

Please note: We are only accepting mp3's to preview, not any other file types, and we also need a track list with each submission. Once a mix is submitted you will only be contacted if we decide to host the mix. Sorry, but we will not be giving any feedback due to high submission volumes.

Cheers!!!

Thanks for all the submissions everyone! The response has been great, which is almost becoming a pain in the ass because now I have to listen to loads of mixes. I need extra heads with more ears attached.

Please note: I am only accepting mp3's to preview, not any other file types, and I also need a tracklist with each submission.

Have to agree with J. Since when are you immature because you mention drugs? You sound a bit stuck up from everything read.

*You want tracklists (not only for the ones that win)
*You allmost complain about lots of mixes... makes you sound lazy
*You can't respond to the ones that didn't make it
It doesn't sound like your making much effort to me.

No worries my friend, I just spent 9 hours online... third day in a row, listening to mixes, responding to dj's and promoting our site. You'd be surprised how much time it takes... and if you submit your music to any online radio site, you would be very hard pressed to get any response or feedback from any of them either, and that's for obvious reasons.

Having people submit track lists allows me to sort through what I even want to begin to listen to... before listening to the whole thing.
Efficiency man!! It's a necessity unfortunately.

Am I lazy?? Well I am sure my fiance wishes you were correct, haha =) Maybe then I'd be spending time with her instead... actually that's what I really should be doing, argh.

Honestly there is no attitude intended from me, we simply know what we are looking for and vocals yaking about drug use is not our thing. It's not even really about that they are mentioned, it's how they are mentioned, which is very rarely done with taste in electronica IMHO.

We're a pretty easy going group of artists, and we really enjoy our area709 project. I hope you stop by and take a look around and feel free to drop me any feedback.

Alright, back to previewing mixes.....
