Ok, thanks for all the downloads
Anyone had chance to listen to it yet? Any comments?
Nice mix with good transitions and track selection! I enjoyed it while doing some gfx work which it worked nicely for as background music... But a bit too downtempo for a night out or saturnight warmup - then I would have needed some more peaks as the mix progressed
(it does peak some more at the end, but perhaps a bit late for my taste that is).
But where is the progressive trance you talked about, I didn't hear any? ![]()
just leeched + listened the 320k version
has some great tracks that I mostly have been playing myself also... so top notch stuff for me
Mixing is good, like it alot!
I agree with the comment about Progtrance btw, I cant find any myself also in there... maybe 1 or 2 if I try hard enough
Thanks for the comments - that's quite a positive response
As for the Prog Trance reference, I'd be ineterested to know what you call ita s I put a lot of these tunes under the Prog Trance banner as they had a deep, prog feel to them while also having a melodic undertone.
But anyway, thanks for listening and responding
there's alot of Techno & Tech House and a tad of Minimal also
maybe class the tunes that have that melodic feel as Neo Trance which seems to be getting more acknowledge as a genre already
That should fit the bill much more imo
Yeah neo-trance seems to be the buzz word these days, but I can't really take that term serious.
I would say it's a mixture of minimal, tech-house and prog. house ...but hey, as long as the tracks are great who needs genres
.

On a technical level you did not mess up once except for one transition where you adjusted the pitch a tad much but that wasnt even noticeable since you fixed that mistake so fast. The opening track was the perfect choice to open a set with. The progression was going well for the first 35 minutes and then you hit a plateau. You tried bringing it up again with the last track, but that was too little, too late. You should have continued what you had going in the beginning and kept bangin it out until the end. Arguably the best track on this set has to be the Funkagenda Mix of Everytime by Lustral. I melted when I heard that track. Its a prog. house take on a trance classic. I loved it. Some other notable tracks besides the opener and track 3 include
4 - Avante Grade - Guy J, Roy Brizman (Original Mix)
6 - Air Conditionne - Julian Jewell (Sebastien Leger Mix)
9 - Callisto - Marc Romboy, Stephan Bodzin (Original Mix)
10 - Rancho Relaxo - Anja Scheider, Sebo K (Original Mix)
11 - Mexico Can Wait - Roland Klinkenberg, DJ Remy (Original Mix)
By the way I havent heard any prog trance in this set at all. Thats a bit misleading if you ask me, although I did notice the trancey vibe throughout your whole mix if thats what you meant? Wrapping things up I gave you an 8 because this set isnt the greatest mix from a TA that Ive ever heard, but still a good and solid mix. The tech-house saavy djs will certainly enjoy this one.
Thanks for that in-depth and constructive review Steve - its much appreciated and gives me a couple of things to think about next time
Anyone else had chance to listen to this mix?
Just checked out your mix and I mostly agree with stevieboy. Nothing more to add.
Which gear did you use?
