That 50's Spooky Sci-Fi Sound
How do you do it? It's a really common kind of siney, spooky sound thats usually overused in cheesey Sci-Fi flicks. Was used a lot in Mars Attacks, anyone have any idea?
Much Thanks.
I bet what you mean is a theremin...look it up on google...you'll find a bunch of samples and pictures easily...
also...there are patches to emulate it...I think I've seen it in cakewalk's rapture...

You can pick up a kit for pennies on ebay.
Mine was built into a red bull can. Now have one with Yoda painted on the front.
No, it's a Theremin.
I was lucky enough to set up and engineer for Bob Moog at his last UK performance, to launch the Big Briar Etherwave pro.

Sidenote: why, WHY, can't I embed a video into a post? Every time I copy the 'embed' code all I see in the resulting post is the code itself? (Yes, I am copying everything over)
You might want to check out Mysteron VSTI as well. Does the same thing and for my ears it is equivalent of the Thermenin sound.
