May be away for a few days...(New flood Pics)
Not that any of you will care really lol.
There is major flooding in this part of the UK. Sewage has got into the water treatment works so we will loose our running water over night. All the local stores have sold out of large bottled water. Also water has got into the major sub-station just north of Gloucester. Thats expected to go bang shortly too. So no power and no running water (TV just said atleast 3 days). Luckily i'm on high ground...my gf however lives directly next to the river so things could get hairy.
As i type this the lights are flickering like crazy.

Yeah I've seen that on the news over the past couple of days. It's been pishing with rain up here to, but no flooding thankfully.

Images my gf took. Day 2 without running water. There are Bowser trucks being place around the city for water.
At least twice as high as usual.

just got back from dog training for the pup. took a while to drive and most of the roads were like rivers, farmland and major bridges were all flooded earlier, didn't think it'd be on but it receeded enough to be passable. It's hopefully about time they did something about it though, we need clever landscaping, with lots more rivers/areas that water can run off into safely so places won't get flooded. cleaning the bodies & supermarket trollies out of rivers wouldn't hurt either, plus better drainage systems.

Well the water rose within 2 inches of the tops of the barriers set up around the power station. If that went then 500,000 would have been without power.
The town of Tewkesbury further upstream has reached its peak so i'm guessing Gloucester will reach its peak levels in a few hours.
Need to buy some supplies from the Supermarket in Bristol (Where i work) which is 30 miles away since local supermarkets are extremely low on supplies. My gfs Water is gonna be off for 7-14 days but my Sister who has a 4 month old baby is gonna be without water for the same amount of time but her power is out too!
So gonna fill up my car with bottled water and candles ect then try to make it through the flood waters to them after work.

Don't risk it if the water is too high. Otherwise you'll just end up with a writen off car, wet ass and good chance of drowning.
