Dave Seaman

Hey...

I'm not sure if you all know this, but Dave Seaman, one of the best DJ's in the world, will be the DJ performing for Global Underground's 22nd CD (Melbourne), which comes out the 7th of May. He has already started his tour (europe) and will be comming to Canada as well as the US for the next couple of months. He will be at The Guvernment (TO) on the 19th of May.

I just want to know, from Sona's, and Aria's point of view, why they haven't persuaded him enough to come to Montreal? He is practically playing at every major Canadian city, in May, except for Montreal. Seems really odd because Montreal is one of the best techno/trance scenes in Canada. Here's the link to see his tour dates:

http://www.globalunderground.co.uk/...itled/tours.htm

Anyways, I will definately be disappointed if doesn't come. But I'll tell ya one thing for sure, I'll be in TO come May 19th. Can't wait!!

Illume?!?!?!

Ya, but Illume, I hope i'm not pissing people off, is a piece of shit club compared to after hours like Sona and Aria. I'de rather go to Toronto.

/me bows down to delstar you are the first person that i hear complain about the du cds wich are very slow (progr house) but most people would say is underground stuff and you liek cheese, so fuk em!!

Posted by delstar on Apr-18-2002 03:59:

i love prog

sasha, digweed, fontaine, seaman, pappa, etc are all djs ive loved when i heard them live......those GU cds are just shit...the digweed one is not at all the way he plays live

Posted by Czaoth on Apr-18-2002 04:17:

GU definitely has a set mold for it's CDs that it seems to impose on DJs. Those CDs are never what the DJ is like live, ever..

oh people you dissapoint me! I have a mission for each and everyone of you...I have like 250cdz/live sets on computer or 'burned & returned' and when i say that one of the best if not THE best trance cd is from GU i hope you will give me an ounce or just a joint of credibility...here are your instructions:
1. download sasha GU009 in san francisco DISC TWO
2. proceed to roll a fat doob of quebec hydro or eat a gram or two of champignons or if you're some rich rave bastard swallow something to make you happy
3. PLAY, paying attention to everyone sound (it will tell you to do so) and the flawless mixing (which is why they call him the magician)
4. Go to step 2..(it gets better everytime)

Finally when you run out of drugs return to this board and proceed to thank me and beg my forgiveness
