I MISS San Fransisco!!!!(Tiesto in St. Louis?)

The venues out here, the Midwest are...interesting.

Poor Tiesto had to play at this crappy little thing where everyone came because the last big dj to come here was Ferry Corsten like 6 months ago.

Basically it was a historic brick building with a disco ball, 6 cheap lights and the dj booth was a solid wall like Mt. Olympus, so you couldn't see the dj AT ALL.

good set though. He could definitely get away with not mixing something amazing. The crowd just went nuts. I got people's drinks all over me. Kind of gross. I'll post pics and probably rant more about it later.

I MISS YOU GUYSSSS

How about a tracklisting too!

He didn't play much NEW stuff other than his new Elements of Life tracks. I remembered that He played:

Dance 4 Life
Anthem
Air For Life
Ferry Corsten vocal track(forgot what its called, on LEF album)
Gladiator sound track remix(help me out here)

and a bunch I speculated, but I'm bad with track names. It was only a 2 hour set.

Air For Life?!?!

You're probably talking about Beautiful from Ferry's album.

Air for Life! classic...

I'm guessing he also played from his album: In the Dark, Break My Fall, did he play He's a Pirate? Everything? or Sweet Things?

Hey, when do you get back to town anyway?

suuuuuuureee. Come on, you know I don't know anything...yet, lol.

Going to be back like next Wednesday I think. Whats happenin' that weekend?

Here's what I posted on the other forum...

Tiesto, good as always. I had almost every track he played, so not much NEW stuff.

I didn't get to see hardly any of the opening djs, but not bad!

Let me tell you, it made me miss San Fransisco. I hate to be a snob, but they tried to fit so many people in that club! Was there a cut off?

Poor Tiesto needs a better venue, but is there one in St. Louis? Maybe I'm just spoiled, but our venues are clean, people don't spill their drinks all over me(not to mention last call is at 1:30), there isn't broken glass everywhere because there are TRASH CANS, and its usually a lot louder. Never seen a club with 4 little mains. It was great to see the energy though like they haven't seen a famous dj in years(I think it might be true, I think only Ferry Corsten stopped in once or twice). People I felt were rude and trying to shove there way to the front even though you can't FIT any more people. I could understand because you couldn't get anywhere so you might as well try and get somewhere. The ventilation issue...They had to bring one of those fans you buy at Target? Wow...
Yeah I just pretty much got slimed the entire time with people's sweat.
The club...well I understand its an old building, but it looks like they just threw in a disco ball and 6 lights. They built the dj booth so high that you couldn't see the dj or what he was doing. So I was turned off by that. People want to see the dj, but I guess it worked because everyone was so hammered!

But Tiesto was good, I enjoyed him...his 2 hour set.

For Aug 4th I know of the following:

Shawn Yapa & Turbine (TED!), Taj @ 1015
John Beaver & Cyber JOe (his bday) @ Milano in San Jose

I think it's Turbine's last gig for awhile as he's moving to Texas but it's also JOe's bday... I don't know which to go to yet

I am Visiting family here.

I think someone's going to post a track list so I'll keep an eye out for that.

u really shouldnt say Midwest clubs......St Louis clubs perhaps....cuz Chicago clubs compares favorably to SF......maybe u should check it out

Pardon me, then. Though I don't really consider Chicago the "Midwest" even though it is technically. I do love Chicago, only been there once. Not the clubs though.
