40 Hour Famine 2007

The 40 Hour Famine is coming up in August. I'm looking to put together a team in order to raise funds for kids in Laos and East Timor.

In 2007, the Famine officially runs from 8pm on Friday 17 August to noon on Sunday 19 August.

Why Do It

Amazing but true! Every $40 raised in the 40 Hour Famine will help feed and care for eight kids like Kaisong and Sangchen in Laos for one month.

As you can see, it only takes a few donations to make an incredible difference in the lives of some of the world's poorest kids. Think about it next time you and your mates hit the shops!

$40 = help feed and care for 8 kids for 1 month = a DVD
$80 = help feed and care for 8 kids for 2 months = a pair of shoes
$240 = help feed and care for 8 kids for 6 months = a mobile phone
$480 = help feed and care for 8 kids for 12 months = a gym membership

So if anybody is interested in joining the team and contributing to a great cause please pm me by Sunday 29th July so that we can start fundraising and preparing for the event!

good for you mate. i alas, am far too skinny to attempt it. youd need to run a charity for me the following year.

Half the dance music scene does a 40 hour famine each weekend

Only they're paying $30 for each of their barley sugars.
