The COR is a busy place. Doesn't take long to get shuffled back to page 2. I blame my own lack of a 10 page thread on this. K, not really.

Ian, I support your thread.

EDIT:

I just realized that the two Threadstarter's names are:

Ian & Yan! One letter difference! OMGDEATHCATISCHILLINRIGHTNEXTTOME

I couldn't support the previous thread because Yan has a Commander Keen avatar.

I am pleased to have this new opportunity to acknowledge the Tarot 13 cat!

By the way, is the first paragraph of that article really wrong?

quote:
A US cat that is reportedly able to sense when a nursing home's residents are about to die is baffling doctors.

There seems to be a problem with the article...

Posted by bas on Jul-26-2007 16:19:

What's that?

Posted by Lira on Jul-26-2007 16:22:

Should it read "A US cat that is reportedly able to sense when a nursing home's residents are about to die is baffling doctors"? Or, perhaps, "A US cat that is reportedly able to sense when a nursing home's residents are is about to die is baffling doctors"?

Posted by bas on Jul-26-2007 16:23:

I don't think so

Posted by SpecialedXL on Jul-26-2007 16:25:

another reason for me to kick a cat when it comes close to me

"A US cat that is reportedly able to sense when a nursing home's residents are about to die is baffling doctors."

This sentence is correct.

This sentence is correct.

But if "residents" is in the plural form, and "nursing home's" is working just as a modifier, shouldn't the article agree with the noun? That indefinite article looks kinda superfluous...

so basically this is the cat right?
