What if it was a Limited Edition release and now it's out of print? I have an album by Urban Tribe called "The Collapse of Modern Culture". My version has 2 extra tracks and it is out of print as of 2000/12/21 so, if anyone wants it, they won't be able to find the version that I have...

What if one day the MIAA questions websites about illegal distribution of MP3s?

Do you want your request for an cue file, something that you probably could of created yourself or find somewhere else on the web.

Swamp's just trying to cover his ass.

Think ahead guys, come on.

It is an ignorant assumption to consider CUEs illegal just because MP3s are. Come on guys use your heads!!

Posted by red_indian on May-08-2002 01:14:

correct

cuesheet ain't illegal. the mp3's are (if you don't have the cd, and yes, also the livesets available on this site), but not the cues.

and if you're looking for cues...

check out cuesheet heaven, EDITED!

Yes, cue sheets aren't illegal.

--BUT--

Asking for one implies that you've just downloaded an album and you're going to burn. This has much bigger implications than downloading a single (people re-selling burnt albums is the RIAA's biggest gripe because they make all their money from albums).

Basically the rule is there for a reason, live with it :P

Thx red_indian for that site, i wont ask for a cue file in here again.

If swamper really wanted to cut down on any potential legal issues involving these forums, he would stop everyone from openly talking about stealing software and posting cracks/warez request. that stuff should be kept to pm's.

Smile

WTF......this thread is to tell you ppl NOT TO ASK FOR THINGS....not to post your views about cue files.......you have a question...pm swamper.....
