Sooo....who saw it???

i'm actually quite surprised how good the reviews have been......
the show has lost it's glory over the last half decade or so - maybe they were saving the good material for the movie? lol
The commercials make me never want to watch the Simpsons again.
I saw it 12:01 showing and was pleasently suprised!!
First off, i didnt notice too much hype for this movie but damn was I suprised when i got to the theatres. This summer ive been to the 12:01 showsings for Spider Man 3, Fantastic 4 SS, Oceans 13, Harry Potter, Pirates...and i think theres another one in there somewhere but The Simpsons was by far the busiest showing! ? Suprised? i was for sure! Including Harry Potter, each movie only had 1 theatre playing the movie at the Famous players collusium i go to however the Simpsons had 2! both sold out and both mmaadd busy a couple hours before hand. It even got to the point when i arrived with 4 others, they had ushers standing at the bottom of the stairs, asking how many you were and went and found seats for u (asking ppl to move down, if its taken, etc etc). So that was pretty VIP right there.
The crowd was 60% comic book nerd looking dudes + dudettes. pretty funny. older crowd.. id say (except for the 1 TODDLER i saw walking out with his dad...i donno the kid looked 4?! LOL)
Anyhow, the movie was pretty funny. The audiance was laughing throughout, even at the small jokes. Theres tonnes of quick things in the background that make you like (read the bottom scrollies, the church signs, the newspaper headlines and subheaders, ppls tshirts, etc etc) So they deff thought it all out...however the plot was deff lacking by the end..it just wnated to be wrapped up...but ppl going to see the movie arent there for the plot they are there for hte slapstick as well thought out good ol simpsons humour, which there was alot of!!!
And beware for some NSFW footage as u do see Bart full frontal nudity LOL audiance went crazy for that...
they cover alot of the characters that we've all seen throughout the years....except i noticed pretty much nothing on salma + patty (sp?...w/e marge's sisters)....
but the intro is itchy and scratchy, theres bubble bee man, spider pig, doctor nick, krusty the clown (o right i was mad there was no BOB..that woulda been cool if they got him in it somehow) and yea......
oh and i heard maggies suposed to say a word in the movie..but i didnt see her say n e thing...so i thought that was a lie...oops spoiler alert? ...w/e
overall funny movie, alot of ppl went to it drunk or high.
RALPH HAS THE BEST 1 LINER IN THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!! its pretty early on...and has to do with bart naked...theres ur hint..
Will watch when stoned.

I've been hearing that it is quite funny; many ppl who complain about the show's decline over the last few years seem to be pleasantly surprised/pleased with this feature length film.

Just got back from the movie. Fantastic!! I was really impressed.
Go See This!!
edit: The Animation looked much better than normal as well.
Just saw it ... storyline was ok, could of been better. But, it was damnnnnn funny!
Everything I hoped for & more.... simply brilliant. Soooooooo many little jokes tucked into the background.... the smashed ambulance still at the tree at the top of the gorge ... lol!
If you ever enjoyed a Simpsons episode, you will enjoy this movie.
Vintage Seasons 5-8 style humour, writing, and timing.
& I assure you, Spider Pig will stay with you forever after seeing this lol!

Was good but impossible to live up the expectation(s) people are going to have... but I accepted that before I went to the theatre. Chief Wiggum FTW with the 'body' lol.
The best line was from Ralph... "I like men now."
Saw this saturday. Loved it. I'd still rather watch 5 episodes back to back but it awesome none the less.
