A True Piece of Dance Music History: Signed Stanton VRM-10
Produced in 2000, this was Stanton's flagship mixer before they came under new management and went all cheap with their products. This is one of the most visually stunning, amazing sounding mixers ever produced. It features a gorgeous Valve Tube Preamp with a liquid mercury tube indicator (that's right, liquid mercury technology called V-MAX) that actually pulsates to the beat of the audio being outputted. Trust me its just about the coolest thing you've ever seen on a mixer! It also features gigantic 100mm faders, 4 input channels, an array of DSP effects, sweepable midrange, AMAZING High and Lo-Pass FILTERS, and an indestructible, aircraft grade steel build.
The knobs are all constructed of extremely high quality steel and the body is solidly welded together. It is a 19" rackmount design that takes up 8U of rack space.
This mixer in particular has very special and has a long, incredible history. It was first used at an Ultra Festival in Europe and was purchased exclusively for this event. It was used by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Kid Van Gelderen. Armin, Ferry, and Kid have actually all signed this mixer as you can see in the pictures. This mixer then passed to a friend of the Ultra promoter. He left for Europe about 6 weeks ago and was sadly forced to sell this mixer. I bought it but now I too am moving and am very reluctantly selling this amazing, true one of a kind machine!

Sexy
Don't take my word too seriously...but I have seen this mixer for sale like 4 times in last 3 months...
that's a bit strange...although, it might be just my memory playing tricks on me...just thought you might have a clue about what is happening with it
and btw...there's one forum dedicated to selling/buying equipment here on TA I think...
last few words: the mixer is sexaaaaaaaaaaah
Why was it taken down?

All of the stuff about Ultra was told to me by the guy I bought it from, and once this thing showed up in the mail I believed him. The flightcase alone is huge, this package was obviously designed for a very high end venue.
I am not sure about the validity of the signatures on this particular mixer, but they did use the VRM-10 on the main stage at Ultra (Miami, not Europe) back in 2003. I saw Oakenfold use it during his performance.
i may be wrong. but i reckon
"tiesto: another day at the office" DVD, they show a mixer just like that.
long faders, full metal body. looks slick
I have no reason to lie about the signatures. You can even see that they are a bit faded as the mixer was signed at least 4-5 years ago.

this mixer is very nice, if i had the cash i'd be on top of it in a second
it's a shame they discontinued it, would love to get my paws on one
Its been a very tough decision to sell this mixer...it literally warms up everything and makes you feel like you're hearing records for the first time. Add in an SPDIF output and you've got truly amazing sound quality. I just don't have room for it in my car, and I'm driving from Boston -> Chicago.
Please tell your friends and best of luck to all the bidders!
i do remember seeing this mixer on the forums before, quite awhile ago. i think someone else on the forum actually owned it, and the signatures were authentic. it might actually be in the massive "post your setup" thread, but i'm too lazy to search for it.
can't deny its attractiveness tho....
edit: found the post...owned by a TA called tamtui back in 2005.

also makes reference to it being used at Ultra 4. and i think they signed it at the festival and not at the guy's house as he says....

| (from tamtui) "Seriously though....this mixer was used when I bought it, so I got a great deal on it. By who you ask? Supposedly this was the mixer that was used @ Ultra 4 in the main stage. They replaced the rotaries and put the faders back in . But can't comfirm it though. But that's what the STanton rep said so..." |

Sexy mixer indeed. Also used by Tiesto on his infamous Dutch Dimension 02-02-02 liveset.

The original owner of this mixer was from Washington DC. I believe his name was Jose. Obviously, this guy use to work for Glow in DC, Armin, Ferry and Ronald van Geledren use to spin at that club alot, and Jose use to be a video producer at Glow, I think thats how he got those signatures.
this is way too funny.
Seriously.
This mixer belonged to my long time friend whom I will not put out his name publicly (no, its not jose). This mixer was owned by him for at almost 10 years, was brought for very very special occasions in DC. Other than that, it was kept in his home, very well taken care of. As far as the signatures coming from Ultra. . . .LOL. I assure you, those sigs are real and did not come from Ultra.
We used that very same mixer at my birthday party a couple years ago:
(not me in the pic btw)
From my personal experience, the mixer is beautiful and sexy as hell. The only thing that took a while to get used to were the long fader channels lines. Not good for tricks, but awesome for those long smooth mixes.
damn good mixer.. and i just LOOOVE long faders
