What about Maya? Hmmmmm...lol, thats like $10,000 (well, over, but I don't wanna exaggerate it, so i'm leaving it at 10k's). Hehehh, I wish I was that rich...to be able to afford 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop...lol (actually, i can afford them, 10 bucks each)

$16,000

i noticed this on some of your desktops: your OS (winxp) shows you all that stuff with how much memory you have and how much hard drive space you have left, etc.

question: how in the world would an operating system know the temperature of the CPU or the case and the rpm of the cooling fan???

it's a program/utility called coolmon

you can download here
http://daisyman.arsware.org/coolinfo/index.html

but to get temp showing...you also need to install motherboard monitor

which you can download here
http://mbm.livewiredev.com/

but i think you need a motherboard that supports temp or has built-in temp sensors for it to work. case temp generally refers to ambient temp...unless someone has a sensor specifically attached to the case (no idea why)

fan speed is also monitored by the motherboard/bios...not sure which one actually does the monitoring/calculation
