i used to go camping every year with my parents up until about 12 yrs old, it was their cheap holiday for us when we couldnt get back to malta been a few times in my teens and now wanna go again...

wait till oct.

less chance of rain, and firebans wont be in place....

also, depends how you wanna go: campsite, or find your own place. if you do go to a campsite, never ever go in school holidays

tassie has some great camping spots, like down the front of my pants.

A nice spot (when there are not a million families) is Sheepyard Flats, on the Howqua river, close to Mt Buller

Its a really good spot!

The nearest 5star hotel, make a cubby house out of blankets in the room if you really feel the need.

Posted by Lilith on Aug-03-2007 08:48:

Doesn't backpacking just mean more bedbugs?

bedbugs, nits, americans

Posted by Lilith on Aug-03-2007 09:10:

Least 2 of those are easy to kill and not make too much of a scene, nits are hard to get rid of though unless you boil everything.

It is. As is Fry's hut.

Just not sure what kind of vehicle you want to take in there though!!!

Blue Mountains are the best camping spots. I wish I could remember names, but I can't. The spot we usually camp at is on one of the rivers that feeds onto the murray. It's fantastic. Caught some HUGE mofo trout down there (people usually only see fish that big on TV).
